Mora passaround?

I remember taking pictures of the knives down by the river in the winter when it was chilly out.... and its September now!

Thats just crazy. anybody email Tohatchi NM, looks like HD sent him the blades over a month ago.

Hehehe... I sent him a PM too!!!! I would say something smart about waiting on Christmas, but I don't think we are going to make it!!! LOL

Sorry guys, this project got burried in my move boxes. It's moving along now to stingray. More info to come...

I sent him a PM, I am sure he will respond and maybe get this back on track.

Sorry guys, I have them right now. I'm in the middle of moving so I haven't had a chance to play with them. I will be mailing them off as soon as I can.

However is behind me, could you please email me your address, thanks.

No excuses. If you participate, you must be sure you can fulfill your obligations or don't participate.

Passarounds don't seem to have been going very good lately.

Really. This one started about the same time as my Plant ID Vid one.:thumbdn:

The thing that is somewhat of a letdown for me is that it seems like the people who are holding on to the things for really long periods of times are posting very little in the way of a review, where the people who are passing them on in a timely manner, are posting good info.

These are just some examples of why we need to have a "Guidelines" thread such as Kev suggested in the sticky above...

When anyone is considering participating in a passaround, they need to think ahead to make sure they can do their part on schedule. Moving, etc, is no excuse to be holding onto someone else's property for too long a period of time. I can see how emergencies pop up, but it's easy to stay on track even through the ebb and flow of regular events.

Rules and guidlines in pass arounds need to be followed.

So far, the pass arounds I have seen run, by Brian and Brett have gone rather smooth.
They also kept the amount of people taking part to under 10 and a strict 3 day hold rule, which is also a great idea.

Well guys, I was really excited about this passaround when it first started. If things would have moved along like it was supposed to, I would have received them in time for a couple of camping/fishing trips. As it is, I've just received them, probably haven't even had them for 2 weeks yet, and I am planning on shipping them this week, if I get an address.

Our move was last minute, we just decided two weeks ago. I haven't had them for very long, and am planning on getting them off asap. I was planning on posting a reveiw of what little use I was able to get from them.

Brian: I know you are already pissed about the other passaround, but I did plan ahead, just not this far ahead, and even if I had, I could not have known that we would be moving right now. Like I said, I just received them not to long ago, and I'm planning of getting rid of them soon, so don't take it out on me man. I'm dissapointed as it is that I won't be able to take them out and use them like I wanted to.

We planned this in February right? Even if it didn't get started until March, with a 1.5 week per person, I should have received them in May, June at the latest. I'm trying to do my part, but it's a little unfair to be putting the pressure on me now that we are already 4+ months behind.

ETA: This is my first passaround, and after seeing so many and all the cool reveiws that were generated, I was really excited about this. I'm a little dissapointed the way it turned out, to say the least, in fact I'm a little bit peeved now. Oh, I also forgot to mention that the week I received them I went out of town for a week, then when we got home we decided we were going to move and we had to be out in a week. Oh, and I also just started a new job as soon as we got back from out of town, a job that I wouldn't have had to occupy my time if I had received them when I thought I would. You know what, I can't put my life on hold for a passaround, because I might be getting the knives someday. After June or July how am I supposed to anticipate when I will possibly ever get them? if it's off schedule, then it's off schedule and any "plans" that were made are thrown out the window, because now you don't know when you'll get them.

"no excuse"?!That wasn't an excuse by the way, it was an update out of courtesy so everyone knew were they were and what was going on, and what can be expected from me as far as a review goes.
