Mora passaround?

I'm pretty sure it's still with Hollowdweller. He might still be sick, or maybe he's finally better and in the middle of testing it.

Hey! Sorry for hanging onto it so long. Got it when I was sick and then became super busy!

I got some pics to post of it and it should go out Monday.

if someone could PM me the next address I'd appreciate it.

NO PROBLEM! We were just all getting a bit antsy. Heck, we weren't even sure if you had them...:)

Thanks for responding HD.

Brett

Thanks. But yeah sorry I took so long. Having those other 2 passarounds still going on I understand with the lapses how hard it is to keep track.

Next time these passarounds on Moras get started, I so want to be in. I have never handled one and am looking to do so before buying.

Well I got ready to head to the woods with the blade but BigDoG took it and started quoting Mors Kochanski

I wrestled it from his paws(after he had built a shelter) and as I put it on my thoughts were filled with Bushcraftyness;)

Suddenly I felt the irresistable urge to harvest a bunch of stinging nettles

After that the urge to baton and split wood overtook me- I couldnt' control myself it was as if the knife was commanding me to do woodsy stuff!
mora5.jpg

In no time I had split up a bunch of wood and the knife said "make fire!"

I cut some sticks to go over the pot like a grid laid the nettles on top for steaming and had at it!

The knife seemed to have appeal to my declawed(not by me) cat Mr Prissy.

MORE LATER

So while Mr Prissy and I were waiting for the nettles to finish steaming I reached in my back pocket where I always carry a bag full of bannock mix and string cheese;)

Here's the recipe for the bannock mix

1 cup flour (spelt and buckwheat are cool)
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons dried milk (powdered vanilla soymilk works great if you are going to make a sweet bannock w/fruit)
1/2 teaspoon salt

You can make a pizza with this but I was shooting for sort of a trail stromboli:D

So I diced up the mozzarella and some garlic on there using my folding plastic bowl as a board.

Then the steaming nettles on top of the mozzarella

Then get them folded over and cook over a low heat till done

mora14.jpg

And wham! in no time we have trail stromboli;):D

Sorry this took so long. Who gets it next?

YIKES! That looks yummy.

HD, email me at bdws1975 at gmail dot com

I'll send you the address for the next person.

Take care,
Brett

I never thought I would see one of my neck sheaths on the neck of a dog!!! LOL ... excellent review HD, I love the way you gather wild plants, and use them in your cooking.

I was afraid he wouldn't like it. He refuses to wear kydex.;) I think it was the nice tooling on there that swayed him to put it on:thumbup::D

Ohhhh. He has a soft spot for leather! My kinda knife dog! Does he like forged knives also ??? :D

Seriously, cool review...

I'm not sure if he can tell the difference. His eyes are kinda bad. If I'm walking down the road at about 75 yards he runs out and barks at me till I get close enough for him to recognie me;):D
