Most content knife buy ever?

My Benchmade Emerson CQC7 Spec War model that I got in the mid 90's. It was my first knife with a pocket clip and it opened a new level of pocket knives to me. I cut everything with it even though it was a (gasp) chisel grind. I loved it anyway and still have it to this day. I don't carry it though since my tastes have changed but I still love and appreciate it. It's part of my knife evolution.

This DDR custom. Though it cost $1300, it was earned beyond that.

I was really happy when my zt 0561 arrived, then i seen digi cam pm2s in stock so i got 1. I spent about $400 getting the zt and pm2 for myself as christmas presents :D.Im always happy with the last knife until i either get more "throw away/spend as you please money", or a knife design i like goes on sale.

I'm gonna have to say the benchmade mini Ritter in m4/m390 with a set of Wilkins scales... I have basically sold all my other knives, and just kept my mini Ritter's.. What a perfect edc knife!

I'm most content with my ZT0770CF. I have quite a few others, but the 770 always ends up back in my pocket.

Now there is a tough question. How do we each measure our contentment?

After travelling (and enjoying) the production folder route, dappled into the custom fixed blade arena. Liked them alot, and had 10 in hand.

Then this happened:

John Doyle, "Gambler's Hideaway Bowie," 2015.

I can measure my contentment: Since aquiring this knife, I "measure" all pictures of potential acquisitions against my own new benchmark, The Doyle!

Haven't been tempted since (yet)!!!

Any Becker knife. Great value, great quality, you can talk to Ethan Becker himself on the BK&T sub, made in the USA by Ka-Bar. Not really anything to not like.

Very nice! I like everything about that knife. What kind of steel?

I've got the CRKs and Hinderers too, but if I had to choose something out of my collection I'd probably pick my gray Delica. My first one was blue and hated the color in person. Finally sold it for a ZDP model. Loved the color but actually came dullish and hated the steel on initial sharpening. Sold it for a gray one. Yeah it came with uneven edge bevels, but it was stupid sharp and I liked the color. Cuts great and just a great knife for below $60. I can use and abuse it all I want and not worry too much if I need to replace it. It's one knife I'd be content carrying for years all by itself if I had to.

I picked up a 4" Green Aluminum Tanto Hogue EX-01 for $85 on USN a couple weeks ago, and no other knife else has been in my pocket since. I love this damn thing so much I've been giving away my other knives to co-workers.

How content I am with a knife is based upon how much pocket time it gets, number one. How much it gets handled if I don't carry it much would be number two. I am suprised that my top two blades are both discontinued budget models. First is a US made Kershaw Zing with Sandvik steel.
Second is a CRKT Prowler. I like the ergonomics and design of the knife even though it is made from AUS 6.

I have to say for me it was the Spyderco Military. I don't think you can find a better edc folder for the money. It came razor sharp with high quality steel. I thought I wouldn't like something with that knife and I havent found one flaw yet.

Down and dirty, Military is a great user knife at any price IMO.

Forget all the hard use koolaid drinking fanboy goop gobbling nonsense, with the proper edge the Military will slice circles around most if not all. 👊🏻🍻

After juggling so many pocket knives, I bought a new Delica 4 FFG and that was it...the Promised Land of EDC pocket knives had been reached.

Grayman Dua. Because it's perfect....

Emerson Super CQC-7. Just to hold it....

Pound for pound and $ for $, I'd without a doubt say my 1st Kershaw Blur with which I was pleasantly surprised... Was a tad bit bigger and bulkier then I expected from the online pictures, but that turned out to be a pro not a con as I'm 6'3" with not huge hands, but certainly not small ones either, and I've become so accustomed to these ultra thin designed handles, some feeling delicate, that the blur's added contoured depth makes up for any lack of width, and it just feels like the solid piece of handle that it is. (And also content with every one ive bought since, it's why I keep buying 'em up.)

Some people don't like the "funny" shape, and i was skeptical but intrigued, but I found the ergos to be great, it fits my hand perfectly, no flipper, snaps open with the assist, blade size is not too big and not too small, and for $50-60 the standard - made in the USA - Svandik 14c28n Steel is crazy sharp right out the box. And for a few more $'s you can upgrade to s30v, ELMAX, CTS-BDS1, (all of which I recently did) and whatever they'll offer next.

I honestly think it's the perfect all around knife for what you pay, and what you get...

Very nice.

I use that same grip tape on some of my knives. Did Doyle cut and apply that or did you?

I can picture myself with a Blur. Great ergos and the best thumb stud ever designed.

Hard to say. First "nice" knife (Benchmade Kulgera) sure made an impression, though. Still have it after downsizing my collection from about 50 to a dozen or so.

"Grip tape." Funny! That's stippling of the wood. And very well done.

As for most content knife purchase, hmm . . . pretty happy with my hk 14715, but really looking forward to the spydie Nirvana after handling the proto, that knife is amazing (tho a tad large). Also my swamp rat 1311 BUT only after rehandling it to my liking so that may not count.
