Most content knife buy ever?

Now there is a tough question. How do we each measure our contentment?

After travelling (and enjoying) the production folder route, dappled into the custom fixed blade arena. Liked them alot, and had 10 in hand.

Then this happened:

John Doyle, "Gambler's Hideaway Bowie," 2015.

I can measure my contentment: Since aquiring this knife, I "measure" all pictures of potential acquisitions against my own new benchmark, The Doyle!

Haven't been tempted since (yet)!!!

That is truly a work of art!

Benchmade 943, from the time I purchased it back in the early 2000's till now it has not left my pocket.

Folder: Spyderco Manix 2 Sprint Foliage Green with CTS-XHP blade
Fixed: Becker BK-5 I just won, sharpened by Jerry Fisk.

I have to say that the ZT0392 and the 0392BWBRZ are the knives that I'm most content with. I've always loved RHK's design, but the the price has been too high for what I wanted to pay. I picked up the 0560 a while back thinking it's at least as good as an XM-18, but it felt nothing like the real thing. I almost picked up the 0562CF, but ended up missing it due to shortage of supply. I think that I'm just going to pass on it now as the 0392 feels so perfect for me. Now, the hardest thing for me is to pick the color that I want to carry. If ZT releases other variations, I would love to add more to my collection.

Any Becker knife. Great value, great quality, you can talk to Ethan Becker himself on the BK&T sub, made in the USA by Ka-Bar. Not really anything to not like.

Well said, well put and can't add much to that.

"Grip tape." Funny! That's stippling of the wood. And very well done.
As for most content knife purchase, hmm . . . pretty happy with my hk 14715, but really looking forward to the spydie Nirvana after handling the proto, that knife is amazing (tho a tad large). Also my swamp rat 1311 BUT only after rehandling it to my liking so that may not count.

Yeh, took me back a bit about that "grip tape" on the my Doyle! I rose like a fish to bait! Met and got to know John Doyle at the Seattle Blade Show: Super nice guy and maniacal about detail.

The steel on the Doyle is forged by him, 1084.

WOW! That is a thing sheer beauty

Hey Mike, your $1300 toy is really bad ass! I did not see before "out of pocket deployment like that." This is very cool. Congratulation! I would be the most content with this knife, too.

Thanks. Every time I use my knife, I'm reminded that I'm sober today by the grace of God.

I would have to say my Large Sebenza 21, and my Umnumzaan. I own many nice knives that I enjoy, but the Crk's have been as close to perfect (for fit and finish/overall quality) out of the box as I have seen so far. These two would be the last to go in a "fire sale".

Overall, mine would be the GSO 3.5. If I made a separate category for folders it would definitely be a Lg. Sebenza 21.

1. Large Sebenza 21. I don't know if I can count it as a purchase since it was a birthday gift from my dad, but everytime I use it I discover one of the million thoughts that Chris Reeve put into this knife. Truly a masterpiece.
2. ZT 0561. What can I say that hasn't already been said about this one. awesome design, awesome steel. Just one badass American folder.

Had to say my top two since I didn't actually purchase my number one. If I could only keep one folder it would be the Sebenza followed closely by the 0561.

My Spyderco police 3 G10...grail knife for me.It has the best factory edge I have ever seen as well as skeletonized scales that look like jewels.
Smooth as silk and the G10 scales are perfect.A perfect folder that makes my benchmades look like toys.Truly epic grade blade.

Best purchase ever...bar none.
