MT02P – Mule Team Fixed Blade featuring CPM®-M4

I ordered mine maybe 10 - 15 minutes after they were available...no extra shipping charges on mine. Other than having forgotten my password (!), it was smooth transaction. Thanks!!

Dear Tazkristi

Please note that I entered my PO Box for shipping. I know the site said you will not ship to a post box, but it is much safer to do so than send it to a street address in South Africa.

Will this be permitted? PS, would it be possible to insure the package if it isn't more than about $10?

My order number is 27250 - 1.

Thanks
Andre

Just ordered one for myself.

Only ordered one so someone else could get the second one I didn't order. :)

got my order in about 4:30 central time. if we were able to place the order does that mean there was one still available at the time? hope they weren't already sold out when i got home :(

:D:D Ordered mine this morning. Like a previous poster, I only ordered one so someone else can have one. :)

Or you should at least post some pics ,first impressions etc. Is their any warpage?
How does it compare to the 52100?

I could only afford to order 1 this time. Still i only actually need 1 ,the spare 52100 just sits in the box with the extra sheath i bought for it although i did take it out and gloat over it when I ordered the M4. I actually had 4 sheaths made when i bought the 52100's but i gave one away to a good buddy so it worked out well that i could only fit one M4 on the CC.

I know a lot of guys like to mod handles but i love this thing as a neck knife. My 52100 has not even rusted other than 2 dots ,one one each side.

I got mine this morning and got one cord wrapped for testing. No visible warping, decent edge. The slightly larger holes let me wrap this one without pulling the center strands out of the paracord so I got a little thicker grip. The factory edge gave up shaving after a bit of hardwood whittling, which is not unexpected. The edge was easier to restore than S90V. I look forward to taking this one to work.

do they lose their shavin edge so easily? how does M4 compare to 52100? or to S30V?

It is something I expect from a factory edge regardless of the steel. I'm that lucky guy who gets the knives that the factories don't get the burr removed, so that razor (literally) edge goes away very quickly when it hits oak, ash or locust wood. I usually sharpen my new knives before I ever use them for that reason. I haven't had mine long enough to make any comparisons to other steels yet.

I'm that lucky guy also :grumpy: I will get the burr, blade rub, unknown clacky sound :p

Yup, I get all those things, too. If we were talking about thousand dollar hand-fitted customs, those things would make me unhappy. I've manufactured enough stuff to understand how production lines work, so those little things don't bother me.

No warpage here and a nice clean, sharp edge

So does anyone know the actual hardness spec for this particular blade?

I would also like to know the hardness. I remember reading something a while back that gave a wide range. Are they diff, or is all the M-2's the same Hardness?

Thanks
