"Multiples" or "The Knife So Nice You Bought It Twice"

I collect folders and traditionals but much more traditionals. In the traditionals I have several of the same pattern but not all the same brand. I won't clog up your post with pictures but here are a few of the multiples I have. Great Post

I've had or have multiples of the Protech TR-3, the Viper Keeper, the Piranha Bodyguard, the Kershaw Bump, and the Olamic Wayfarer. I have to say, these were all on the more impulsive side of my knife purchases and the notion of having more than one of a certain model is starting to bug me. Still too many others that I want.

Yes, I have two BUCK PakLite Skinner knives. Two different colors - same knife. I use these around the house the most right now.

I have two identical SOG Fasthawks. I may get a second Estwing camp axe like the one that I have now.

I do not own, use or carry folding knives any longer.

I gave my husband my former, sweet, two BUCK 110 50th Anniversary folding knives. He recently bought a third BUCK 110 knife and this '110' is the plain one.

I gave my husband my former, sweet BUCK '55' folding knife and he likes that very much too. I wanted him to have a back up, identical knife like that one too. So he bought an extra '55'.

He owns another duplicate set. They are in the V. Swiss Army Knife brand name but I do not know the model name of it offhand.

I am so pleased with my BUCK knives that I would not hesitate to get a duplicate one. (Profile.)

My favorite is the Buck Ranger Skinner #113 and the runner up is the Buck #119 Special!

I like my Ka-Bar # 1211 knife that I keep by on my night stand too.

I always liked 'some' (Not all!) of my former firearms (Rifles and handguns.) in matching brand names, models, calibers and some other brands and models in the same calibers too. I could use the same caliber ammunition in SEVERAL matching and non matching firearms. I no longer shoot handguns. I only shoot a few rifles in specific calibers now. My late husband did the same thing only he owned far, far LESS firearms that I did. We could share our ammunition.

My Montana husband owns 'some' (Not all!) matching handguns and rifles in the same exact brand, model and caliber too.

It works for us in many ways. Not only for his 'reloading products' but for some of the factory ammunition that we buy. I do not hand load - reload.

Your mileage may vary in knives or firearms - no problem.

Typos and added more!

Not an exact duplicate but 2x Opinel No7 with different handles. Maybe 2x #8 soon too, but with different steel.

If Kershaw discontinues the JYD2 I will get another one right then too. While it doesn't fit my hands perfectly, it fits my hands better than any other folder I've tried to date. Blade shape, grind, etc is also good for most of the things I need a knife for.

Other than that, there isn't any other knife I want a duplicate of right now. Firearms are a different story, but even then, each one would be set up differently.

The only knife I've bought two of was the PM2. One s35vn and a regular s30v. I got the sprint run one before and didn't want to ruin it so I got the regular.

There are a lot of knives I would love to have doubles in but I think it's a waste. I'm always looking for something different. I would only buy another model if the one I had broke

I have about 30 folders, the only two I currently have multiples of are the Spyderco Military (one each in S30V and S90V).
And 4 x Para 2's. Soon(?) to be more, with the M4 and CTS XHP exclusives on the way. If I'm quick enough.

Did have a 940, 940-1 and a 943, but I gifted my 940 to a friend when I got the -1, and some rissole stole my 943. Haven't replaced it yet as I'm holding out for a 943-1.

Becker BK-15. Bought one 'cause of the "they're being discontinued discount" (poor, misunderstood trailing point :( ). Shortly after that I got a second one
1) because I really liked it once I tried it out
2) in case something ever happens to the first one

I got my first 15 from Ethan Becker as a prize for a contest over in BK&T. Loved it so much after using it that I bought a second (and its bigger brother the BK5)

I have two Stretch's. One is SuperBlue, the other Vg-10. Got the Vg-10 to hold me over while the SuperBlue has been out getting a mirror edge put on. Not sure if I will keep it after I get my other back but who knows.

Five versions of the Spyderco Endura 4 because of handle color choices and blade steels.

Three versions of the Spyderco Para-Military 2; two of those are sprint runs and one standard production.

Three versions of the Spyderco Manix 2; one Lightweight, one sprint run and one XL.

Three of the Boker Plus Exskelibur I, because of the different wood handle options.

Lots of various Cold Steel folders; Voyagers and Recon 1 in most of the different blade shapes and sizes and the 2015 upgraded steels.

I was smitten by the Spyderco Persian, from onset, that I continue to buy them.... I know... I need counseling.
