Sorry ,Goose did not mean to steal your thread, if
it was me your talking about was just reply to
others and I did ask a question.
Sorry.
Jeff:

Jeff...I don't care who steals my thread. Hell, I'm as guilty as O.J. when it comes to doing that myself.

Anyway, here are the DEC 2006 herd additions. I love Christmas No black socks. Also, thanks to SCOoT for my other 112. Gave one to my son...his first Buck. Turns out he got me the 105BR I wanted too.

Gooser,
Dont thank me! :D Thank you!! Also am I the same Jim you speak of for the 112? Or is there another Jim on here somewhere? I don't know much about a 112... :D

I had a brain fart.
Meant Scott.
I do mean to thank you Food Hunter for depleting my Jan "Buck$ for a Buck" allowance by the 2nd of the month.

How do you like the Kalinga (701).

Your herd is getting bigger every day!!!!!

Nice, real nice, and pictures for prosperity, if my Mrs. ever gripes, I'll pull up this thread..."Just look how many Goose got in just 1 month!!"

Hey Ron...
I like the Kalinga quite a bit. But it is "smaller" than I thought it would be. Am tempted to use it. The fit of the handle and the choil is perfect for me. Not having ever used a blade with that extreme profile, I am not certain how it would do as an EDC (for me, read that as "kitchen knife"). I would like to read some thoughts from anyone that uses the 701 on a regular basis...thanks in advance.

Thanks Jim, Scott, John, and Hkingdom for your taking the time to comment nicely. It's a fun hobby and I look at it from the perspective that these items have intrinsic value as opposed to me recycling beer at my local watering hole. I'm not certain if the wife has figured out the $$$ yet. But I am thinking the sleigh ride may have some reigns pulled in on it soon. She bought me the 110AG Stag and 701LE...I'm thinking she was surprised that they are not about "$25 to $50 average" as I have stated in passing when asked.

Hey Goose,
Your wife must really love you! That chip flint Kalinga is sweet.
Mike

She's a doll. I'm a lucky buck Mike.
Gald I didn't get her that vacuum cleaner for Christmas.
That 701LE goes great with the 110 Buff a good Buck Brother held for me.

Hey Goose, That is 11 Buck's in one month. That is great.
Is that Miracle Whip on that 701?

Jeff

Hi Jeff...at least I don't feel too indulgent since several were gifts (justifying my habit...sign of an addict)

I was surprised to see that white stuff on the handle. Kine bugged me at first...now I like it. I guess that buffalo had defective horns...I dunno...maybe someone here that knows about that jazz can edumecate me.

And, it wouldn't be mayo...it would be MIRACLE WHIP :)

The buffalo horn used by Buck and most knife makers
is Asian water buffalo and the white streaks are normal
for this type horn.If I am incorrect someone will inform me.
