  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My first pass-around!!

I've got contact info for 6 of 10. Please check the first page, and if you're on it and haven't sent me info, send me info :)

Nosh- I sent my info, but have no way of knowing if you got it. Maybe you could mark the list with who you have and don't have info from?

+1 on what MacHete said. I sent my info via the "send email to Noshtero" drop down when clicking on your user name. I never heard anything back so, who knows if it works.

no prob. I just didn't want to "call out" the ones who hadn't sent me info yet. I'll append the first page list.

Alrighty. I have 8 of 10, which is good enough for me to get going on this. I managed to destroy my thumb over the weekend, so I'm hoping to be able to finish the sheath in the next couple days. We'll see how it goes. Then I'll set the list up and get it sent out to the first person. Then if the last 2 get me their info, I'll add them to the end of the list, if not, we'll go with 8.

Special note to everyone. No... you are not strong enough to pinch a cylindar tight enough to hold it in place while you try to drill a 3/8" hole though it. My thumb can attest to that. You ever have one of those "MAN that was stupid" moments?

OK I have the info for all 10 participants.
I'll be PM'ing everyone with the name and address of the next person in line.

Then I'll most likely be sending the knife out to tonym tomorrow.

I'm really excited about this. Hopefully you guys will be honest, but not bash me too hard ;) It's only my third knife.

Stay Tuned!

Excellent! I'm glad to see that I'm #5 on the list. After signing on, I was mildy afraid I might get stuck at #1, which given that this is my first passaround too, seemed daunting. I'm looking forward to working this blade!

Hey a passaround member brought up a good point. We should make sure the next person knows the knife is on the way, so they can watch for it.

Can you post in this thread, and also pm or email the next in line before you send the knife out?

Sorry for the delay on this. I've had a couple medical things going on that have taken the majority of my attention. I'll get this sent out today. Tonym, it's coming your way.

Noshtero,
Hope that everything is OK with the medical issuers. I hope that you are quickly back to full health.
Thanks again for the passaround.

Very cool that we're underway!
And- it looks like I just might have it for the July 4th weekend. :D:thumbup:;)

Thanks again for the passaround.

Thanks. Ya apparently I have something called Gelastic Epilepsy. The seizures aren't the crazy fall on the ground and bite your tongue off kind, but instead is basically a 10 second or so fit of doubled over laughter. Like, internal snickering to myself laughter, not loud outward laughter. For me, it's nothing more than a minor annoyance, and maybe a source of embarassment if it happens in a meeting. But apparently they can progress, so I'm supposed to look into treating it now.

I had an EEG and MRI both with and without injection. The good news is NO TUMOR! They said about 30-40% of Gelastic Epileptics are caused by a tumor, and it's completely inoperable and usually progresses through the years. That's bad news. So knowing that I have no tumor is awesome. Now I have to do this "observed EEG" where I basically strap up and sleep at a university hospital while an epileptologist watches me overnight. I just keep doing overnights until I have a seizure that they capture on the EEG. Luckily I have these most every night, so I'm hoping I'm one and done. The other good news is normally when the disorder is not caused by tumor, it responds well to epileptic medication.

It's kind of neat. It's extremely rare. My neurologist has never had one in 15 or so years of practicing. The closest he has come is having a brief contact with one during his residency. The literature says that of all epileptics, already a very small population, only 1 in 1000 will have Gelastic Epilepsy. My mom always said I liked to be a stand-out....

Personally I think it's kind of funny when we're in a meeting talking about serious business crap and all of a sudden I'm doubled over in laughter. Really ticks off the presenter :D

My Mail man Ira just handed me a package from IL.

I may get a chance to use it tomorrow with Marcelo. I'll keep you up on status, thanks again for the opportunity to check this out!

Hey fellas. Thanks for your patience.

I will be posting pics and my thoughts on this knife tonight!

It will ship out tomorrow.

Exhale Buddy;) I think you did a fine job. I know this is very early work in your knife making career, and I see alot of potential.
