My Grail has arrived!(Para2 in S90V and CBF)

It all depends on when you preordered. The people who preordered the middle of October and the beginning of November should be ok...many of those guys have already received their knives, but us blokes who waited until the middle of November or later might get screwed. I hope you get yours! Be on the lookout for these blades at other dealers though.

I preordered mine Oct 2 and still haven't got mine yet. :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: :mad::mad::mad:

I pre-ordered on 11/11.

I'd just like to be able to pick up a regular Para2... S90V has proven to me to be an incredible steel...and I mean AMAZING... but for the price difference and whole collectivity of the Sprints, I'd rather have something I'm more comfortable using.

S90V and carbon fiber handle sound nice on paper , but in reality it means nothing

Congratulations, vicous00machete. You've achieved something here that we don't see in every thread.

In reality, the insights offered in your post mean nothing. The content and thought behind it approaches zero ... in fact, I believe you went into a deficit, and need to have some other positive thoughts to get your contributions back up to zero.

Im just not sure how KC fills their preorders, unlike other dealers which fill first in, and have a list of who gets one and who doesn't, and then they close the preorder when its filled. as for KC I just don't know. Good luck to you all, but i guess you wont know till its in your hand or shipped. Keep your eyes open for them on other dealers sites. :)

sorry if i shattered anyones dreams :(

You carry two knives in one pocket? I just have to know your thinking there. I carry two knives occasionally, but never in the same pocket.
Well, it doesn't seem wise to cut food with Sleipner tool steel, and I don't see myself putting serious muscle on the S90V given the rumors of chipping issues(not as bad as ZDP, but understandable given it's stainless and the high carbide volume).

To be frank I EDC 4 knives total. My Small Buck Vantage Pro is somewhat of a "throwaway knife" and accumulates gunk from cutting tape(which most customers don't seem to be bothered by). And despite what I said earlier about cutting food, I use my Izula to cut samples of fruit for customers. The Izula is about $50, while the SR-1 is almost $400, so I hope it's not too confusing about my choice.
How does S90V compare to the M390 in your experience?
It's hard to draw an accurate conclusion after only one day of use, but I feel the two are pretty similar, though I would guess that M390 is a bit tougher while S90V is more wear resistant.

how do both compare to M4? thats a real three way comparison :)

OMG she came!!!! My baby! she is just beautiful... the cf is grippy as craziness, actually just a little more grippy than the g10. The comp lock is much better though. It has a stronger ball detent, but releases easier than the g10 version. I wish that spyderco would have finished the edges on the carbon fiber a little more so that they were not quite as sharp...im not complaining though. This is a beautiful specimine of spyderco cutlery!

I am so pleased with getting this knife.

Hey, finally my paramillitary arrived (can't believe I got one in germany) and theres something about the liners. I just want to know if it is supposed to be that way. I marked the spots. There is one on each liner.

Mine has those cutouts too. I haven't checked the G-10 version yet but it looks normal.

Glad to hear that. After i saw it i totally panicked. Before opening it for the first time i was just looking and touching it for minutes. :D
It is really awesome nevertheless the blade has a little side-to-side play.

It should be very slight. Just loose enough to allow the blade to swing freely. Mine actually tightened up a bit more with a torx driver. I was completely satisfied before but now, it's even better.

The CF S90V Para 2 rocks. Plain and simple. It's everything a fantastic EDC should be. Light, one the THE best blade steels today, big enough, great and safe lock and a Spyderco to boot.

Well pissed off would be the understatement of the year. Good thing it's still January. I cannot believe that they just took pre-order after order knowing they could not fulfill their customers requests.
