My ideal carry knife...

I've said it a few times on this forum, I always thought that a 3-1/2" single blade slim trapper would be a perfect watch pocket carry knife. It would be slim and elegant looking with a very useful blade shape and length. Such a knife would disappear in the watch pocket, but that long, slim, pointy blade would be up to just about any mundane task that I encounter during my average day. I just didn't think they existed until @redsparrow sent me a message about a special knife that he'd been keeping an eye on. I really appreciate him passing the information along to me so that I could purchase what I think might be an as-close-to-perfect "carry knife" (for me). I received the knife in the mail this afternoon and couldn't wait to share it with all of you. I'll post a picture here and several more in the "new addition" thread.

The rare single blade Queen #51...
More pictures man!

Yep going to buy one of those in green canvas when they become avalible. Really wish they would do linen though

Early reserve for the shuffler in bone micarta. Cant wait. Lionsteel hear my plea for sodbuster- dark green linen-m4- perfection.

I would say my ideal carry knife would be something out of pure practicality. Some type of stockman pattern or a medium sized Swiss Army Knife. There would be so many in those categories that would fit the bill but something like a GEC 66, 340T, 881 for the stockman and a Tinker or even Hiker for the SAK.

I thought you said you would post more pics. Really would like to see more angles of this knife.

I still wish GEC would build a 3-1/2" slim trapper. While my Queen #51 is a really good knife and almost perfectly built, I know GEC would build one even better. The two issues I have with the Queen are the uneven blade grinds and a very shallow nail mark. It doesn't detract from the usability of the knife, but if I am dreaming of the perfect carry knife...

Find one of these and have Glennbad modify it into a single blade. I no longer have it, but that knife was as well built as any of the GECs I've owned.

I posted a bunch in the "Newest Addition" thread, but here's a couple since you asked.

The "Q" is the only stamp on the knife...

Compared to a GEC #48...

Thanks! I am digging this knife. I will check out the west addition thread as well.
