Those Culties are awesome looking blades. I just wish I could handle one before I buy. I am really happy with my SMOG at the moment. Fits my hand like a dream....

Mine is at JRE Industries getting a sheath made for it. It is one from the Busse Custom Shop with a bone handle. When I get it back, if you want, I could send it out to you for a week to play with. If you have a knife that you recommend, maybe we could do a trade for the week. It will be a few weeks before I get it back from JRE. PM or email if interested.

I thought so too. the thin stock sure insinuates so. But the handle is too small for comfortable yet powerful control of the blade with wood which is elemental for a bushcraft blade. The blade doesn't perform as good as one might expect for such a thin blade. The grind and edge is just not right for bushcraft. My opinion of course. I grew up with puukko so my opinions are colored for sure.

The BAD has mostly the same problems, IMHO. The grind just isn't right for wood, and the choil and guard get in the way constantly and make it difficult to apply power while still having maximal control of the blade.

As I always say: The best Busses are the large ones. The NMSFNO is currently (still) my favourite Busse and one of my favourite knives overall.
