My newest creation.

color is not that important to me. i would actually prefer the brown, especially if it saves you a bit of work.

i guess im also assuming you got my email and i am on the list. :)

I did and you are. The honey brown or the dark brown as shown? Also, so far the ones I have cut out are right handed, so if folks need left handed rigs I need to know before hand.

right handed, honey brown. no dye necessary.  :D

I
I have no right to the design as I pretty much borrowed from here and there, so I suppose there is nothing stopping Dwayne from doing one like it, we sheath makers tend to share our knowledge with one another. Knowing that I plan to make more of them as my time allows, I would think he would decline, but I might be wrong. That is between the two of you if you so choose to ask him.

I know Dwayne, and yes he would decline as long as you were making this pattern. Nor am I going to ask him to. I just got the impression that time would play a big factor as to how many you were going to make and it was just going to be a few. No offense or disrespect was intended, I just think it is a great sheath design and if you were not going to make many, Dwayne would be the next logical choice.

No disrespect or offense perceived. Dwayne or Mike would be my choice for leather were I not able to make my own. Time is a factor, but if I get my supplies I will be better able to see how long it will take me.

I look forward to handling that beast at Blade bro. :) Kenny's inovative designes never cease to fascinate me and that swivell loop is one of them. Al Stolman came up with a similar swivel for a completely different item, I think a saddle attachment, and its very cool to see it adapted to a sheath. :D

Ghostwolf, Two Wolves Outdoor are my go to guys for all my toys, survival stuff, and especially Maxpedition gear, and very good friends. They feed my gadget addiction, and I feed their leather sheath addiction, this symbiotic relationship makes for some difficult decisions when it comes to other crafters specialties.

I totally understand both viewpoints, and totally respect both viewpoints. Sometimes being a professional puts one in a rather interesting position. I personally dont have many "trade secrets" and I dont own any intellectual property, I'm always willing to teach what I know and help where I'm asked. I do have some things that are unique to me, but I just cant bring myself to tell someone "no, you cant do that" when I see crafters doing a similar design, I am very flattered. :)

You've got something very cool there, and I totally understand protecting that, the swivell loop is unique, so far only you and Kenny do them, and that creates your "niche" and that is the key to being successful.

Nuke On Bro!!! :D:D:D

Just some FYI, I have a little over a half dozen of you guys who have expressed interest in one of these. I have a slab of leather and various supplies coming in the next week or so and I should begin work on some soon. For those who have contacted me and those who haven't yet, email me regarding your preference of right or left handed carry and color. I can do a honey tan (conditioned and sealed veg tan) or the dark dye as shown in this thread. I am not providing any pouches or anything on them. When you contact me regarding these things, I will let you know where I am pricing them as this has already come uncomfortable close to commerce for my taste. Sound fair?

Alright guys, I did a quick and dirty web page, it ain't much but it should work. Join as a memebr and I can send updates about how the sheaths are coming along, also if you guys who want one of these can send me an email through the web page and specify the details of the color and side of cary, then maybe I can have it all in one place.

Just a note on membership on the website so I can send out a newsletter. If you choose to keep your info private, your name will not show up on the web page, but it is there when I go in and check it as adminstrator. I know there was an issue with one and I have never used the website builder so I wasn't aware of that little thing.
