If I was Union I might get away with that Todd..lol, but I am not. I can however go to my corporate office about him, and since at least two other people have transferred or quit because of him, they might listen.

There you go, and just for the record, my union is usless and has deminished so much that this kind of treatment is common and even encouraged as far as how management treats the laborers. My point, is the biggest majority of these people are just spineless wussies that have a complex because they where losers there whole life. When someone pushes back they piss there pants andsuck there thumbs. I have no respect for people like that. Piss on em. I won't bow to them.

Had an interesting phone convo a few minutes ago... turns out, when someone that really should have done their job a week ago calls you after-hours on a Friday, and you tell them "sorry, the person you should have run this past several days ago is indisposed, I'll tell her you called", and they proceed to explain a boat-load of tiresome details that you neither understand nor give a hoot in hell about...

...It's a good deal of fun to tell them firmly, "I don't know WTF you're talking about and frankly, I don't care. She'll call you back when she's damn good and ready. Buh bye!"

I'm not a gambling man, but I'll wager that's probably the last time that cat calls my home phone... ;)

That statement is only half true. I did in fact spill beer all over his table, but it didn't get on his knives, Big Chris is indeed a cool dude. I don't believe he thought I was telling the truth though when I told him it was my first beer of the day. :D

My apologies, I'll run a retraction when my schedule allows.

He does enjoy fondling his bottle openers...

It gets hard enough to open bottles, I'm posting pix.

I'm actually shaving my ugly mug.

Anytime I'm talked to rudely, disrespectfuly, or treated like a dumbass. I make it a point to be meaner, more disrepectfull and make sure they know if they wasn't such a dumbass they wouldn't be pawning there work off on me. What's the worse that can happen. They fire you and and your out of that toxic environment with 6 months worth of unenployment most likely. Yeah, threaten me with that!

I completely understand and agree. Life is way too short to piss it away eating someone else's dirt. We are conditioned to think "you should be grateful to even have a job", and that's just stupid. Free market capitalism works both ways... Want quality work done? Pay for it.

I spent six entire months begging my last long-term employer to fire me, instead of keeping me 'on the books' so they could lay me off and call me back at their convenience, while I went broke. They wouldn't do it, of course... much easier for them to run the company into the ground and cut labor costs while collecting a fat salary for, well, running the company into the ground.

I honestly had no choice but to quit or go insane. That's a scary thing... but I swear I would have strangled somebody if I hadn't worked up the guts to just walk away.

They completely wet their pants when I stopped showing up (after giving 30 days final notice, which apparently they thought was some kind of bluff). So much so that the VP of production literally called me at home, listened to me explain my situation again, and still had the bawls to ask me, "So, can I count on you showing up Monday? I really need you to run this job."

No. Run it yourself, nitwit. You should have thought a bit more about how important I am to your business a few months ago.

Been thinking about picking up a BK7 lately. The only one I've bought became the Beckernet.

I have one, I have no idea what to use it for. I'm thinking it would be a pretty good knife for slicing some steaks off, however I have the 9 that I use that for. I really need to get another 5.

I wasn't sure what I needed a BK7 for since I had a 9 and a 10. Bought one anyway on a whim and I'm glad I did, even though I'm still pretty sure I don't have much use for it. I really like the knife. I'll find a way to put it to work.

So my little S10 pickup had a coolant leak around the intake manifold. Little bit more than I can tackle so I dropped it off at the mechanic. When all was said and done it cost me $560. Luckily I did some OT on my last paycheck so that covered the bulk of it. Still need to replace the two rear tires on it, about another $200.

Quick tell me where to find this :D

I have 4 spare possum femurs in the driveway at the moment - soak them in vinegar for a week to flubberize them.

But, you'll have to give it some time, taking into consideration the wind, distance apart, and the curvature of the earth.

african or european?

nice hot sauce

Unless they've tweaked the recipe, I was not impressed -- plenty of heat, but nasty tasting.

Actually, yeah, sometimes they do ;) It wasn't at night, but our Slippy (the one that growls) was an abused stray kitten, and when she met me... well, it wasn't totally my decision to keep her. She adopted us. :)

I definitely get your point, though.

my Charlie dog walked into the office after a bad thunderstorm covered in mud and dragging 15' of lunge line in May of 2003, so yeah...

trade ya! heh...

This is what I determined. Today I played racquetball from 4:15 pm to 6:10 pm. In that time we got in 3 games to 21. Upon arrival at home, moving was becoming less and less of an option (I really should have stretched better) however, a nice ribeye, a glass of Ballentine, and a soak in the jacuzzi... Today became the best day so far this year.

i heard it snap about 50 seconds and the ground was a bit bouncy but it broke it

Here's my reaction after watching that:

Dodged a bullet! That dude who was asking about a THK/WSK yesterday decided he wants a Fugitive instead. *whew*

You're absolutely right, that's unconscionable. A pet requires a long-term investment of time and love.

I heard a story a while ago about humane shelters being over-run with chickens... because too many people had bought laying hens thinking "hey, free eggs!" and then realized it required care and effort to get those eggs... :grumpy: They say the same thing happens every year with bunnies, a few weeks after Easter. That sucks because it ties up a lot of resources the shelter could put to other uses like vaccinations and spay/neuter programs.

Personally, I'm thinkin' chicken soup or rabbit stew... problem solved. *shrug*

Angie has been wanting another puppy for some time, partly because I've never raised one... but she's decided to wait until one of our dogs passes on. Kind of a tough thing for her to face the fact that our dogs ain't getting any younger, but it's reality. Anyway the point is, like WW said, bringing a new critter into the family is a big decision and should be approached with thoughtfulness and a view towards the long term.

Yikes. The hog-hunting spearheads I made for a friend here only ended up being 2# and I thought that was pretty burly...

see, the thing with chickens or bunnies, bamm, freezer fodder. indeed.

having rasied ducks esp for eggs, you don't even have to worry about population explosions. you need "males" for that. and even then, they're just adding to the available stock.

very low overhead and work for the freebies.

you can't eat your dog or cat or horse now and days or people get all weird kung pao on you :D

spears... i found a company that makes an adapter to hookup a mosin nagant bayonet to a 10 foot conduit pipe. mmm. hog spear!

Looks like snark's on life support. Anybody doing anything fun today? I'm planning on getting my new grinder out of it's box. Maybe even use it later ;-) .

I put a 100 miles in on the bike yesterday after school. It was good to get out.
