To keep it brief, we just met with the surgeon and he is overly pleased with the results. They are working on closing up Madden and we should be able to visit him in the ICU a little after 3 and if everything continues to go well they can take him off the vent before midnight, start reviving him and begin the recovery process. Much relief here!!!

You guys have been in my thoughts for the last two days and will continue to be. When I read this it really made me feel good inside. Im really glad you ended up with that F2 I guess it was meant to end up with you so it could help the little guy out. Glad to hear he is doing well. Chuck

Everything went as smooth as one could hope for a full day of pre op until later in the day when he had a sit down to discuss the procedure and what was going on. We have been easing him into this the past few days and did not want to spring it on him before we went to Disney or his last fun week of Pre K. Anyway, when the doc said he was going to use his "special knife" to fix his heart it was the first sign of fear he had all day. So when We get home I asked him, "Madden, would you rather the doctor use one of Mr Andy's special knives?" That seemed to do the trick. I don't have a 3/32's Esquire, which I think would be ideal, but he really likes my SS F2, so he is now good to go. Will try and touch base again sometime mid afternoon or earlier if possible. Thanks again everyone for all the support. We truly can feel the energy!

Justen and family, be strong for Madden. Never easy or pleasant, I know from experience. Praying that God sends his grace, love and strength your way.
