All 3 came with orange scales, I have a few more than those 3김원진;11321810 said::grumpy: where did these orange ones come from!? unless you just switched scales, if you didn't then.....:grumpy
You probably had a second hand one that was not centered, maybe with the pivot too loose that the blade would rub. I carry mine tip up so the blade can't open in the pocket, anyway that is fixed on the latest Gen.4.No comparison at all. CRK quality is so much higher that I'm suprised that this is even in this forum. I sold my Gen3 3.5" Hinderer because it had blade rub, and more importantly, a detent that was so weak that it would open in the pocket.
Right... and the Blue Collar will pay nearly three times more for a Hinderer than a Sebenza. Dumbest thing I've heard in a while. From what I understand, Hinderer favors the servicemen, they take priority, and offers them his actual retail price - that's the way it ought to be with any manufacturer.
Your "Blue Collar" drive a AMG Merc too, huh?
More likely to pick up a Kershaw or 110 from Wally World. Heck, I'm sure that carpenter's knife does a fine job too.

I guess most of the strenght comes from the 2 massive bladestops/thumbstuds that touch both sides, the lockside and the liner-g-10 scale, unlike on a (G-10) Strider, where the bladestop only hits the lockside, just to name one knife..This is a great photo and nice looking knives. Im not so much into overbuilt folders and I never even had an urge to go shopping past the large regular sebenza in this market. With that said, When I look at a knife like this all I see is the thin liner on one side and the THIN cutout to give the correct spring tension on the lock.
I don't see all the thick blade or the thick chunks of titanium elsewhere.
I often wonder when you see the weakest points are around the same thickness as some linerlock knives, where is the extra strength coming in?
This is a serious question too. I have an EKI framelock that feels weaker than my EKI linerlocks.
Any thoughts?

With Blue collar, he probably means LEO's/Mil/EMT, they pay $385 and not so long ago the first responders received another 10% discount.
The question if $385 for a knife is for white collar or blue collar people is not really up for discussion here but I think its a very good price for any high quality knife a CRK or a Hinderer.
I know blue collar people who pay more than double that money for the latest Iphone, but you can't cut anything with itand the knife will for sure hold more of its value even after many years.
I was just wondering if any one of you could post up a YouTube video of you prying a door open with your Hinderer. Talk is one thing doing is another.

The people creating these types of threads seem to cry over spilt milk. Funny enough, one of my CRK's was more than my hinderer, and 2 of my other CRK's each were more than my other. Go fig. Both companies are great, but complaining because you're trying to find a valid reason aside from not wanting to pay the market price, like sisyphus absurd
after reading this whole thread there are a couple things that stand out.
both makers have many fans and followers, hence they are some of the biggest names in the knife world. You like what you like its part of the hobby. I just dont get why people get upset about things when they buy something, find out they dont like it, sell it for what they paid.
If you dont understand the hinderer pricing and secondary mark up you are living in a production world. Getting a knife at the makers table price is a privilege. if the demand is higher than the supply this happens.
crk obviously makes more knives, they are available on many websites as we speak.
@Suffler: I read the entire thread, a grunt out of basic won't buy any expensive knife on the other hand I also know service people who pay over $3000 for a custom Hinderer...and own multiple customs.
For some reason I always get bored from the whole pricing discussion, you should head over to the Hinderer subforum they will inform you that its bad etiquette to discuss pricing.
FYI I don't speculate on Hinderers, I collect them
@김원진
+1
It doesn't matter how much it costs, it matters what you like. I'm loaded and have a lot of CRKs and ZERO Hinderers, I know that Hinderers are great knives, extremely well spoken for and reviewed, I JUST DON'T LIKE THEM!!!
...So let's go ahead and quit the penis jousting fellas before the thread gets locked.
That's it guys, you've forced me to use the super cute kitten pic...
