db,
If you like that how about Bloch's Blades,
I already posted Bloch's Rocks.
It's amazing how long and hard people will work for a FREE knife. I hope you all know we're taking food off the table of some Advertising Agency. Ah, on second thought, forget about it an Ad agency never sent me a knife.

A) If my memory of last schoolyear serves me correctly, "dactyl" refers to a digit, such as a finger or toe. Also some sort of poetry terminology I think.

B) Rock on, Mickey! Way to spout out about 5 bazillion ideas!!!

C) Silly Superagent! You can't spell "Foolproof" as Phuleproof", and you can't spell "Failproof" as "Phailproof"! That only works for "Phantom" and "Phantek" (which I still like".

D) The rest of us should definitely take these names into account in case any of us ever start a company.

-Dingo Knives
-Bull Moose Cutlery?
-Shepherd Cutlery
-Moonbeam something or other

I'll be back!
Howie

I can't go through all these names.

Has anyone said, "NuVenture"? or "NewVenture"
for you hair splitters.

I mean that's what it is right?

how about "stabbing knives" or "poke and stab knives" or maybe "I'm gonna stab you if I want to Inc." Or "slash and gash". Or I suppose you could always go with the simple yet interesting "Knives for Sale" or just "Knives", it is really up to you...

Mickey77: waaaaaaayyyyyyy too much coffee, dude. you are a walking thesaurus!

Mr. Mattis: i can see i am going to owe your family an apology for showing you that site... sorry, ms. fork, i know you already hardly ever get to see him...

okay, so now i've had MY coffee, and i just feel like i have to point out: if you think about it, the blade of a knife looks like a lovely, shiny, silver bird's wing....so SilverWing Forge would be a great name! hee hee ...

David, who has to go through all this stuff?
On my next Job Application, when they ask for Salary Requirements, I plan to answer, "Will work for Knives."

This thread will never end I guess. I don't think I've seen this many permutations of more or less the same thing. A thesarus has nothing on you guys.

I guess I'll have to throw one in the hat as well - wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to add to the collection, so how about:
"The Final Cut"

Ingmar

Just in time for Christmas... "It's a Wonderful Knife."

Although, personally, I'd still go with Ryan's Knives.

You guys continue to amaze me. If the posts keep coming in like this, Mike T. is going to send me a bill for using up too much bandwidth.

To Phil:
I'm the one going through these so I have my work cut out for me. I plan to run what I consider the best names by the rest of the crew at OEC and together we'll pick what we feel is the best.

To Marion:
That was really an impressive list until Micky77 came along. Thanks for the input.

To Mickey77:
If I offered to pay you by the hour you'd have a nice Christmas bonus coming your way. Thanks as well for the input.

Also thanks for all the names with "Bloch" in them. Very flattering. I especially like "Bloch's Rocks". On a serious note my modest ego will probably prevent me from naming a knife company after myself.

Also I don't recall who put up "Sal & Vinny's" but this is a great name. You are definately in the running.

I don't know if it's fair for my mother-in-law to be in this contest especially since she is not a BF member but she suggested "Flatiron Knives". The Flatirons are the three sandstone slabs that tower above Boulder and make up the three peaks in the OEC logo.

Again thanks for all the participation and input on this topic. If we received posts of this number in the OEC Forum I'd really be blown away.

Happy Holidays.
