Name-A-Knife Contest

Okay, here's another:

"Egress"

According to the American Heritage College Dictionary...

1. The act of coming or going out; emergence. 2. The right of going out. 3. A path or opening for going out; an exit. 4. (Astron.) The emergence of a celestial body from eclipse or occultation.

Well I guess its time to throw my hat in the ring. I figured that since this is such a new concept in knife making you would want a name that was a little different than the names of your other knives, besides every Greek word other than GYRO has already been taken. Here's my list:

1) Since two people can look at the same thing and see something completely different I reccomend:

"Concept", "Vantage", or "Perspective"

2) And since the idea is to send this blueprint out and see how it looks when it comes back, how about:

"Prodigal"

3) But you guys are working together in a way, so:

"Endeavor", "Enterprise", or "Conspiracy"

4) And just because the knives will be somewhat alike, what about:

"Similus"

Thanks for the opportunity,
Travis

I'm still in the middle of reading the 650-page Roget's Thesaurus and following are more suggested name:

ENIGMA -- meaning mystery, puzzle, secret; a bolster-lock is surely an enigma for me!

OMEN -- meaning sign, precursor; two eminent custom knife makers collaborating is surely an omen for other makers to consider!

Others are ACE, ALLY, and MATE.

I also like MATRIX, from one of the most impressive movies of the year, as a bolster lock "cannot be described but has to be experienced"...

More later....

EPOCH, a notable occurence in time. An Allen-Crawford folder, plus the bolster lock, is surely an epoch event in the knife industry...

Well Allen:

Considering different makes and appearances, maybe

MetalTech

or

Infusion

or

Templer

Good luck with the project

Conjunction or Confluence: Two masters joined their forces and you're holding the breath-taking result in your hand.
