Thanks guys, it was fun :)

Just this afternoon, maybe a couple of hours. And electrical engineer :D

That is utterly gratuitous. Also? Awesome. You'll probably be on Make:blog by the end of the week.

The curiosity is getting to me -- what is that lone chip on your protoboard? Microcontroller? 555? Tiny elf working a switchboard?

This so called monster of a thread is in dire need of a bump :)

Here's a silly little Sunday project: The Tube-O-Matic for lazy people!

You stick em all together and you know that its gonna be good.
Keep talkin' Whoa keep talkin"
Its got a mechanism from a worn out digital clock
Keep talkin' Whoa keep talkin'
Theres nothing on board to prevent electrical shock
Be careful- Whoa be careful!
With just one flick
This thing is slick
It's Tube Lightning.....

works better if you do the Danny Zuko voice.

Just a pin header to power the servos. The magic happens on the Arduino (blue board).

Ah, at fullscreen, now I see it. I had misidentified that as one of those 8xAA battery holders, for some reason.

Thanks,

You folks have not made my life easy!!:o
Some great names have been created here, and some wonderful instruments of - well - temporary de-construction!!:)
I am working on it, and enlisting family and friends to help select winners!
Give me a little more time . . . . ..
