Name the sharpest knives out of the box

My Spyderco Manix was the sharpest out of the box out of all of the knives I own.

The dullest was my Hen and Rooster folding stiletto. It has a very wide final bevel- meant for opening letters and stabbing, I guess.

My box cutter is... well... pretty razor sharp :P

Personally I find it hard to believe that any knife could be THAT much sharper then some of the various Spyderco's, such as the Delica.

Yes, check :

and

Whoever works for Glesser sharpening thier knives is insanely skilled. It isn't even a contest based on what I have seen, no one is in Spyderco's league. Even their "ok" blades would be good for most people, and their top ones really define a standard.

For the record, I do NOT hate Benchmade. I happen to LOVE my Ritter Mini-grip!

Ouch! I just cut myself looking at my 921!:D

No really, I've been thinking of getting a Spydie lately. I hear that they are very sharp little buggars!

Dullest? BMs, my CRKTs are ok, just really overly polished
Spydercos and Microtechs are godly sharp. RJ Martin makes one very sharp knife too, but you don't exactly unbox one.

Spyderco's and Chris Reeve (sm. Sebenza and Shadow III) were all wickedly sharp.

Some of my less hair-shaving sharp have been a couple Randall's, but I believe they are ground for heavier duty use than shaving hair.

For sure: my new Benchmade Osborne 960 with D2 steel. I can almost set the blade on a roll of any papper and it just melts through it. I've never seen anything like it!

Dullest: Benchmade, edge geo sucked. An Al Polkowski I had was dull as $hit.

Sharpest: All the Spydercos and Cold Steels are so freaky sharp it is unbelievable.

I was able to shave my fingers with my Camillus Heat right after taking it out of the box

Spyderco has no equal as far as I can tell. I've seen some close but the really terrifyingly scary sharp edges I've owned have always been the ones with a Spyder logo on them.

STR

CS Trailmaster.
CA OSS. Severely sharp, but wouldn't take much to roll or knick the edge.

Dullest,
A CVA Green Russell style kit knife that was supposed to be sharp out of the box. I never did that knife sharpened for anything.

The sharpest knives out of the box in factory manufactured knives are Mcusta knives. they will shave hair off your arm without touching your skin. That is sharp!
Timberline knives are not bad either, as is Fred Carter Custom knives.

I had a 5 inch buck folder that mowed hair right out of the box. It was so sharp that I had to dull it a bit just to feel comfortable using it. it was too sharp.
