Nebula, may I ask, where did you get T1 and M42 knives?

Do any of you guys find CPM3V hard to sharpen?
Not really. I guess it is quite subjective, but even at 62HRC CPM 3V is not that difficult to sharpen, CPM 10V, S110V, S125, ZDp-189 etc are considerably more resistant to grinding.

Ok good. So would you say much more difficult than say 154CM? I here its suppose to be a very tough steel in general.

The T1 is from some planner knives I ground up (apparently this is the only use for this ancient HSS nowadays) and the M42 is from an industrial hacksaw blade. I grind the stuff hard, and you'd be surprised its the cheapest way to get exotic steel and good HT. Most of my steels run 64+ Rc, so I am always disappointed when I get a factory knife as they are either made from a softer stainless, or even worse an under-hardened "super steel"

It's subjective, but for me CPM 3V is easier to sharpen than 154Cm and takes keener edge.
