Nano oil, fool me once...

So I went to his website and had to chuckle when I read the uses and got to the end and saw robotics it reminded me of the movie step brothers with they prestige worldwide sales pitch.

What cracks me up is that it says "nano-oil by St. Clair contains none of the following:... absolutely no metals..."

So I guess he told the truth?

NEW EMAIL FROM StClaire! it reads.....

"Hello Brando,

We found the culprit to the Aluminium presence in the 8cc tube,
When the last one was sent to you, there were no trace of its presence,
However it looks like it was lodged in the needle receptacle and transit dislodged it and reveal its presence.
So I am addressing this issue with the manufacturer to resolve this for the long term,
I am sending you a new tube today, as we tumbled the needle supply applying high pressure compressed air.
Upon inspection, no traces reported.
Take care and sorry about "

...........

WELL this sounds familiar ...
Wait....no hat?
How many were sold like this? recall info?.....ouch

That makes sense. They better shake the heck out of the new shipments and reinspect before shipping.

Also, it's nice to see a professional attitude and a lack of the usual sarcasm.

“Familiar” was my description as to what I thought was happening on his assembly line concerning this problem via my very first email I sent to him.
Sorry for the confusion
No, actually it doesn't sound familiar. There are no sarcastic remarks. It reads professionally. Perhaps he's come around.

I can't comment about the product, but Mr. St. Claire could certainly use some professional help with his grammar, punctuation, and website design. Businesses that pay attention to detail, whether it be checking tubes of oil for impurities, or making sure that their subjects match their verbs, often have higher credibility with their customers.

Exactly. Surperb quality control, customer service, etc lends itself to the expectation of a superb product and vice versa

And its this, and the overall communication gap that has me questioning if my feedback and approach have been acceptable. I read back through the emails and still cant see how his sense of humor or sarcasm would be satisfactory in dealing with a customer though.

Grab a couple paper throw away funnels from an automobile paint supply store. They filter very small particles out of paint while filling an airbrush or paint gun.

Anyone have a good microscope and a little extra time?

A basic usb microscope can be had for 70ish iirc (veho is the brand I use) it wont render the nano particles but you should be able to take a good look at the aluminum particles.

Isn't HE the manufacturer? This whole thing stinks. Although my nano oil looks fine, now I'm questioning it on a, uh, nano scale.

His email is painful to read. His grammar is off, and my BS meter is going off too.

Yes sir, my microscope insinuation was more “nano” fueled than aluminum ….
