Native5 Forum 2015 no chatter? What's up?

I haven't heard one word here about the sale today of the 2015 Native5 Forum knife. Why is that? I thought there would be plenty of excited chatter about it.
Am I the only one who bought one or is it a secret?
 
It's not a secret. I don't think people are as excited this time around which may explain the lack of discussion. Shame, it's a nice knife. People seem to fall into one of two camps. Those who hate maroon, and those that can tolerate it.
 
I wasn't stoked on the announcement of the model or the steel and didn't plan to purchase one but I went ahead and pulled the trigger today. I spend a lot of time on the forum and decided I just wanted one of the forum knives regardless of model, color or steel.
 
I am not one of those that is wowed by every sprint run out there. I will get a forum knife eventually. There are too many other knives on my radar for me to get this one. If it was a better color maybe... But I am not sold on s90v either.

Just before the forum knife announcement I ordered a Native 5 LW SE, and just after I won a Native 5 LW PE in a giveaway. I already have the 2013 green S110V forum Native 5, so this new forum Native did not stand much of a chance...

For someone who does not have a LW version I would say go for it. Its a nice platform.

I feel the same way and I am more excited about the hap 40 delica. I already have a native 5 lw serrated and two s110v native 5's.
 
I have the Native5 2013 Forum, which I think is a step or two up from this years, but the 2015 will be a bit of Spyderco history down the road. If it were not a Forum knife, I would have passed.
There were a lot of comments on the Spyderco Forums but surprisingly not here. Head scratcher for me, but looks like lack of excitement takes first place.
 
Well the good news is, if you're interested in acquiring one, they are still available.

They didn't sell out in four hours. ;)

Meh...it seems like it's always a native model. If this were a Manix I would be all over it! Not a huge fan of the native to be honest.
 
I do like the color and steel choices though..maybe I'll be in for the next forum knife. I would also like to see more m4/204p/m390..

Hard to beat that s110v though. And it's about $50 cheaper than the forum knife. But as you say to each his own..guess I'm bias because the Manix is my favorite platform. :D I have 5 and counting!

I got my forum 2015 for $95 because of 40% off code FORUM2015 only able to use on the knife thou :D
