Native5 Forum 2015 no chatter? What's up?

I've grown out of love with the Native series. They are fantastic pocket knives, just not for me anymore so I passed on the forum knife this year.
I am interested in the Shaman however :D
 
I really like my N5 G10, and wanted a LW in a different steel - and up pops the s90v forum knife, which is finding its way across the Atlantic right now (I hope) - result!

Yes. They aren't available anywhere except direct from Spyderco and they only sell at MSRP. Well actually a few people have gotten a discount code but it seems that for the ordinary person they are MSRP. I checked online and that's the best that I could do.

I don't know if a model like this is also issued to collectors but if it is there will be some retailers getting them and they might sell for less than MSRP.

I agree that $160 is a little steep and that might be the reason that they didn't sell out quickly. It's a nice enough knife but it's just a lockback. The S110V Manix 2 with FRN scales is available from retailers for about $100. Even though technically S110V is better than S90V I wonder if there are very many people that could tell the difference.

wow,judging on the replies on this tread!i had no idea the native was so popular!probably some thing to do with its size for a EDC,i remain a big fan of this little knife.
 
Got mine today, here is some pics to give you a better idea if you want one or not. The fit and finish on them is great though.

I'm considering putting my zdp 189 delica up for sale after handling the native 5, Its not that the native is better designed, so much as s90v suits where I live better than zdp 189 I feel.
