Pics I sent him before sending the knife off. They too can be seen well as to it’s overall heavy carry reality.
He said he expected excellent if newish condition. The pictures don’t show that = none of them.
Yet, he says send it anyway… the post never pretended this 8 yr edc was as he said he expected.

Let’s face it folks. Those pictures sent do not show a knife in excellent if newish condition and that’s a fact because those pictures are not lying. I’m certainly not lying and that only leaves Goldie with an incredible occurrence to a knife that does not happen by itself in a the time it takes to ship priority mail.

Seeing is one thing but discernment is another. Once upon a time discernment in mods online was very good on the sites I was on.

Now, that has gone down hill across many forums on various topics.

Certain things posted by certain members to distort the truth are muted by the initial photos and the rusty screws it shows.
Along with the dirt around the blade stop and snail trails, scratches etc. only the tiny debt doesn’t show.

Again these photos display the overall knife wear regardless.

He can not say he can’t see those things that are clearly visible = no amount of taking no matter how slick will make that a reality.

Folks can keep trying to help him all they want but you can’t undo his choice, his words nor his deeds he will not admit too.

The ding is enough, and I wouldn't call it "tiny." It's pretty significant imo. I'm not sure how you could have missed it after even a cursory inspection. You must have dropped the knife at some point. Not having inspected a knife carefully doesn't explain memory loss, and it's the responsibility of the seller to sufficiently inspect the knife either way. You seem to have checked the knife more carefully after it was returned and before refunding the money than you did before taking his money to begin with. I'm a lot more sympathetic to an upset buyer than I am a seller who takes issue with how the rightfully upset buyer expresses their frustrations, after not caring enough in the first place to inspect a quite expensive knife properly let alone clean a clearly well-carried knife before selling it.

Regardless of who is right I'd probably just cut my losses, refund the money, and stop arguing about it. I don't think it's a good look.

Edit: I didn't even realize the knife is relisted with the updated pictures but no mention of the actual complete lack of function I see in the video of it screeching like a "banchee." That is utterly incomprehensible to me. That really suggests to me that the seller is completely without scruples, and I don't know how anyone on earth could trust their side of the story at this point. Nobody but the two involved can know the exact details but that's pretty wild to relist it without mentioning that the knife is apparently not functional any more, seems like not being forthcoming about it having been dirty and dinged up and heavily carried the first time around would fit right in.

All I can say is that I know I will never be buying a knife from you, just based on your attitude and the way you communicate it.
