Need Help Seller Refuses To Refund Me

The original post said these were old pictures , obviously when the knife was new that wasnt mentioned here, and thats why i was expecting a knife that was almost new ;look how clean that last picture looks i assumed it was going to be mint not all ripped up if he likes to play devils advocite, it flipped fine with no noise when i got it .when he got it back now it wont open and squeeks; its possible the pivot strangely got tightened to prevent it from opening and with no lube and very dirty, it can grind and squeek cause its tighter now and grinding i wonder what would cause that pivot to tighten after i mailed it back working fine , anyone care to answer?

you have been here 20 yrs i think you said. imugur has been used here before i joined mid approx. 2013. so i said that to say you too know how it works no doubt. we all know how to expand pictures dude. don't feign ignorance ok !

furthermore, he had said to e by email that the knife was heavily used only he said it more adamantly if i recall. i do have all emails and none have been deleted. btw Goldie. I said dude, you're tripping that knife has been heavily carried but not heavily used. as i've carried it for approx. eight yrs. now i might not be able to say it exactly as i did or even he did. Yet, the exact details by both are still covered in various emails. aside from what was said on the phone... on the phone not long ago he told me when i mentioned his heavily used comment that he didn't mean that and he actually meant heavily carried like i said. he said that's why he changed what he said. maybe he did retract that in an email. i don't recall seeing it frankly but if he did it will still be there. if not it won't be. he never said out his mouth to me by voice that is what he meant until our conversation tonight by phone. then he said clearly that he had changed it, so that can only mean in written form.

I told you on the phone i would see what others say i should do. you said you would wait ad see too. yet, you lied and made this post and worded it in a way that made you look innocent and myself somehow at fault. You kept suggesting i take it apart and oil it. u said wd 40 actually. i don't mean any harm and i know folks who use it online. i'm not buying wd40 for a knife. i'm going to buy something a bit more higher level as a lubricant. just so you know. Yet, i told you i didn't want to take the knife apart. i had never taken a knife apart before and you were surprised i hadn't weren't you. i told you i had never disassembled the blade nor lubed anything aside from the blade itself approx. 5 yrs ago or so. i said i never sharpened it and it had the original factory edge and the blade itself was in excellent condition. you even agreed with me because i said. how do you think that blade finish is still like new. because it hasn't been used enough to do change it so of course it's finish still looks like that. i know those weren't my exact words but they were close and relayed the essence of what i said to you that you fully concurred with on the phone by voice.

when i first asked you what you would do if you were me. you said you would take it apart... i said sure since you do that type of thing. but what would you do if you didn't work on knives like that...? you then gave a scenario that didn't match the circumstance i am in = we really. you came up with scenarios that didn't fit at least 3 times dude and each time i said why they weren't suitable you agreed and you did so because you knew they weren't suitable right when you mentioned them. i can say that much about your intelligence.

close to the end of our sign off i said to you these facts. i sent you the knife and it was flipping/working fine. you told me personally that you had flipped it multiple times with no issues and it flipped fine. which i knew had to be the case but i needed to hear you say it of course.
i then said i send it and it flips and it doesn't squeak. you flip it and it flips as it should. you send it back and nw it doesn't want to flip at all and it squeaks really bad but more like a creek usually. you concurred with it all.

then i said i wasn't going to take it apart. i also said the weakness of the whole situation lies with you. you agreed to that reality too because you had too. i then said to you . dude if i buy a car. camera or whatever and it works when i sell it to you but it doesn't when you send it back nobody is going to refund your money. to which you concurred and agreed. you expect me the seller who gave you a working knife that didn't creek/squeak to take back one that does and then be able to sell it if i fix it by the methods you suggested. like i said that knife sounded bone dry like it never had lubrication on it. i never heard a knife sound like that and you said you hadn't either. but then said you'd heard similar or something like that after you agreed with me. ijs

playing devils advocate i was like i thought about the cold. i put it on top of the oven and then into my small furnace room. there was no lubrication there to warm up. not that creeky bandit that pissed me off each time i heard him. he never sounded that way before. So, how the freak does a postal trip from you make that happen when it didn't make it happen getting it to you in the cold. we both know no postal trip is to blame here.

I'm saying flat out you are to blame even though i don't know why or how. what i do know is you didn't return a knife i could resell as is ! i told you i posted on this site to see what others would say. you didn't openly tell me you were in the he won't refund my money mode. it not how you got off the phone at all. actually, the opposite.

u posted this and talked slick/sly and lied. i don't trust you like i did before and with lack of trust and a knife that no longer flips I'm saying you had to do something to cause it to not flip as well as make that sound trying to open buy closing as well. smdh you bought with PayPal goods and services. as of right now I'm telling you to open a dispute with paypal. my case is trianger than yours by everything imho. knives don't stop working just because you mailed them. so what does that mean GOLDIE ? you weren't honest about how it flipped before you sent it. i know it flipped fine when you got it. but somehow someway you made that change. knives don't go totally squeaky dry like that Goldie in my experience.

WE ARE HEADED TO PAYPAL GOLDIE, it's time to scratch and i do not think they will believe you either. ijs

p.s. i forgot you did make some sort of offer for a partial refund but you didn't make that clear anyway. i also said u can take it back and do what you suggested i do... that you didn't expect but you sure weren't keen on the idea. see i was calling your bluff based on all you years of knife experience and take down etc.

I have no clue what you did to my dude after I sent him but you obviously did something. Did you switch out the bearings or rings or something for a Reate you have already or what exactly.

If you sent him those pics then it would be in your text messages.. or pm's. Screenshot it (scrub any personal info of course).

Unless you conveniently deleted the conversation.

Oh I believe you. His claim is to the contrary.. says he sent pics of a well used knife, and you said "send it anyway".

If we're all "playing devils advocate" I wanted to see if he can prove that claim.

I somehow doubt it.
 
Obviously if i knew or saw it was used and still wanted it i would have kept it . That makes no sense

I bet the seller didn’t even inspect it before he shipped it- no way he’d think that could work out for him. My guess is, Emoji guy found the knife in the back of his sock drawer, posted online, and threw it in a box and called it a day.

3 days? More like overnight it went right back to him the next day Actually got it sat sent it back mon morn but it went right back in the box within a half hr of getting it i couldnt even look at it anymore...
