need opinions: Camillus BK9 fake?

I knew Camillus Beckers did not carry a warranty.
Ethan happened to be at BeckerWest when my 9 broke.
He told me to call him when he traveled back home and that he would replace it immediately.
I did. And he sent me a new laser etched Ka-bar version that he had.
That was pretty amazing of him to do that for me.
I'll always remember that and I'll always be thankful.
Ethan designs some great knives and I'll always be a fan.

Hey hey!! I still have the images I took of that knife on that day in my "never but this knife" folder. Hahaha. Yep, laser etched KB is the way to go. I don't think I'd ever "collect" the old Cam 9.

By the way OP, that Cam9 is certainly not worth the hassle. Skip it and get a laser etched BK9 instead.

So after all this are you any closer to making up your mind, or did it just make it harder? Ha! :)

Here is my take and I'm no expert on the older blades but you can buy a Kabar BK9 and BK16 for $200. Then you have a killer combo.

Becker is a knife designer too. He designed the BK-9.
Oh, and it would be a great idea for everybody to chill on the edgy posts. Kinda hard to tell, but I'm a moderator too, just not one of those red ones.
 
If that was an end-of-days Camillus, that fact could easily account for a little more coating on the blade and a less pronounced stamp.
Ethan's totally on the money (of course) in that it's in a Brute sheath. I've owned several Brutes. All the sheaths looked like that one.
Some wild stuff came out of both Schrade and Camillus when the factories were closing.

Blackjack too if I remember correctly.
 
The Ka-Bars all come with perfectly serviceable sheaths. I only have a couple of aftermarket sheath, I think 3, out of close to 20 Becker knives.

Your post makes no sense, you declare that you think it is fake but give no reasons and the photos all make it look legit. Do you want everybody to correct you and tell you it's real so you can feel good about your purchase? what's your purpose in assuming it's fake if you already bought it? Why do you think it's fake?

You didn't explain anything except that you think it is a fake, without any reasons listed as to why you think it's a fake and the pictures being shared giving no indication of it being anything but legit, you seem to only care about attention.

Your post is not clear in the slightest, so to get angry at someone when they misunderstand your intent when no intent is readily available makes you look bad.
