Need some serious help

Jim,
Reading your posts has evoked some real emotion in me ,if not all of us. You convey so well what many of us think but cannot say to our loved ones. Your words prompted me to call my daughters (3) and just talk. They asked "what's this all about" because it's not like me to just chat for no reason. They attributed this chattiness to losing my mother in April....maybe so.

I can only convey the sentiments expressed by the other posts here and thank you for making me or possibly all of us think a little more of the truly important things in our lives. All the best to you and yours.

Jim, You and your wife both have been in my thoughts ever since I saw you request for "serious help" several days ago. I've been a christian for several years but the last few years my faith has ranged from cold to lukewarm at the best. I'm going to be on the bold side and say if your looking for serious help it comes from one place, it comes from God! I'll be praying for strength and healing for you both......

We are sure sorry to hear about your wife's health, Jim. I'm not a Churchgoer, but wish the very best for your wife and her getting well. Yes on the modern medical treatments and science helping with conditions like your wife's condition. Hang in there, Jim. We are pulling for you and wish her well real soon.

I see what you mean.

I hope the two of you find the strength, Fred

God, however you view Him, is all powerful that's for sure! But just remember, that power is already in us. You don't have to be a church goer or even religious to be close to God. Just look around, even the earth, animals and trees are healing because they are also part of God, just as everything is. When we open up to it we can even heal ourselves. We all have that power within us. Praying is one thing that is good, but believing is what makes miracles happen.

Maybe have her try this...Instead of seeking and praying outward for help, have her pray to her inner-self for healing. Sometimes all we have to do is make a choice within and just say to ourselves, I WILL MYSELF TO BE WELL, I WILL BE HAPPY AND HEALTHY, AND STRONG BECAUSE THAT IS WHO I AM NO MATTER WHAT! Say it and believe it. This same thought pattern actually healed my own mother when she had a doctor tell her she had a lump in her chest. She willed it away. On her next check-up, the doctors couldn't even find it, as if it had just vanished.

Prayers sent Jim.Make sure she gets an hour a day in the sun.Ive read many reports on the benifits of sun therapy. The consensus is at a neuro/physical level our bodies produce energy from the sun, also the sun promotes healthy hormone response which in turn allows our bodies to heal quicker. This has been proven through various studies and is supported by the AMA,BMA,AAMA,as well as many other medical groups and journals.Just look at SAD,seasonal affective disorder.no question its real. Also the power of prayer is scientificly proven through many clinical studies performed by standard western medicine doctors. And the last thing is the power of the self fulfilling prophecy which is also supported by standard medicinal practices. If you believe you will get better 100% you stand a much greater chance of that happening. If theres anything you need just ask.

Jim, I am very sorry you two have this to deal with. BUT,,, deal with it you will. Friends here are thinking and praying for you. You have each other. You are strong and neither one of you will give up. Ask for second and third opinions. Never leave an appointment without knowing exactly what is happening. Read. Read again. Ask. Ask again. Do not let the Dr.'s run over you. There are others. Love the moment. It is all we have, all of us.
Prayers for you and yours,,,

Want everyone to know I showed Margo this thread and read her a few posts and read her all the places the posts are from to let her know the thoughts and energy for her was coming from all over. She and I got a big boost from that. Thank you all Jim

Jim,i just finished praying for you and wife, and as R.C. said you do not have to go to church, but you do have to believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, and do know that he has all things in his control.I trust that he will heal your wife, and give you strength through this tough time.I will continue to pray for your wife, you, and your family.
