Neva and Shadowynn: An Alaskan Tale of Two Tails

if anyone is interested in picking up Schuyler's set, please drop me a line :)

looks like Schuyler's received an offer! Someone is going to get an amazing deal on this set, given what I know of it, and more importantly, funds will finally start flowing to their intended destination!
If you are curious, drop me a line. I don't thing it's a done deal quite yet ;)

Mr. Clark and Mr. Straub... PM Me your address if you want a set

Thank you to Mr Straub and Clark for stepping up. I can hardly wait to see what you guys come up with. I love both of your work.

Thanks Doc, looks like I have two sets heading toward me from Ryan, when I get them I'll ship a set to Mr. Clark!
Should be fun. Something a bit "out of the box" may be in order.
Schuyler sure did a nice job on those! I'm a fan of his grinding style for sure.

I got the blades today! I'm getting the sense of them, good thick steel for grinding shenanigans! I'm going to be thinking of design options this week. I already have some ideas for the grinds.

Awesome! Can't wait to see your interpretations, Salem. You can expect that other pattern to show up soon as well ;)

I heard back from Adam last night, and things have gone well with the general construction, but it's getting tight for them as they move on to the finishing phase. So, maybe it's just as well that this project took a break for the summer, cuz it sounds like they're needing more help now!

Schuyler's set sold for a very reasonable price, and funds are en route!

Salem Straub, (Promethean Knives) bringin the HEAT!

I think that all the blade blanks have been spoken for. Peter Bruno might be able to set you up, though

I got a little time to grind on the big knife last night... roughed in the other fuller, and roughed in bevels and the clip. The deep part of the recurve near the guard is 12" hollow ground, and at the beginning point of the clip it transitions to a flat grind out to the point. Later this will be Moran-ground a bit.

I just felt kind of in a playful mood when grinding this, tried some stuff. The clip grind curves to follow the fuller and has a variable pitch. The blade grinds actually depict a smaller knife, much like the other of the pair, in the blade. I like a blade to have elements of difficulty to it, in this case I felt a hamon would be perhaps too obvious, and of course it's not pattern welded.

I have some w's mascus for the bolsters, and I am thinking blackwood and parkerizing the blade. A dark scary knife.
