New 2015 ZT lineup

This is one of those days when I'm reminded how good it is to be single. :D

wow, this thread is overwhelmingly positive......nice to see a ZT/Kershaw thread stay open:-) The 2015 offerings truly represent a company that is listening to the knife community at large, while still offering the overbuilt tanks us "fanboys" love:cool: I for one will be glad to see alot more ZT pocket clips in pockets in the coming months.

Im really loving the styling of the 808, 900, 450...a pimpers dream come true!!!

You happy now! Haha
Things are definitely looking up. In my reality, however, an "overbuilt" 2.9 ounce knife is an oxymoron. If ZT wants to promote truth in advertising, they should package their new lightweights in boxes that say "Proudly Underbuilt in the USA" on them. ;) :D

Just a note - the ZT0450 is listed on their website as a compact version of the 0452/0454 format, and will have a 3.25" blade. This is a good move since the other two, with their 4" plus blades, will be illegal to carry concealed in most of the United States.

I'm excited about most of these. Their lineup had some holes in it, and this round of new models seems to fill most of those holes. They were smart doing away with some of their others recently, as well.

Loving the looks of the 0450 and 0808. Also, did anyone else notice the weight of these new knives? The 0452 has a 4.1 inch blade, and is only 4.6oz!? The 0450 is only 2.9oz!? That's less that a 0770CF at 3.0oz. I guess ZT listened to the people complaining that their knives were too heavy. All I know, is that even at MSRP, the 0450 is a damn good deal and I'll be sure to pick one up.

Gotta love ZT.

I'm guessing the weight on the 0450 is wrong at 2.9 ounces. It's probably 4.9 ounces. 0454 was 4.1 ounces with a light CF and subframe lock. 0452CF says 4.6 ounces. All have 4.1" blades.

Correction: Noticed the 0450 has a 3.25" blade so it makes sense that it's 2.9 ounces.

It feels like more than holes got filled. It feels as if ZT moved in a whole new direction, at least temporarily. Keep in mind that 4 out of their 5 new offerings weigh less than 5 ounces. When was the last time that happened?

You know, ZT has always been pretty accepting of disassembling/tuning/pimping, I wouldn't be surprised if KAI kept after market embellishment in mind when designing.

On the other hand these could be unfinished place holders, as ZT often revised things like handle patterns before the knives actually drop.

Possibly. But as was pointed out earlier, the 0450 is smaller knife overall than the 0454. And ZT generally doesn't make mistakes about their posted specs. Time will tell, of course.

Looks like a superb new lineup from ZT. I like that they listen to their customer base; I see a lot in the new knives that people have been clamoring for. The 0900 and 452CF are definitely in the cards for me. Now let the countdown begin:)

The 450 is smaller. 3.25in I believe. 2.9oz is accurate.

As stated previously... The 0450 is 3.25in blade. 4.1 is the overall length. 2.9oz is correct.

Corrected two posts incorrectly stating the 0450 with a 4.1" blade instead of 3.25".

Other than the great variety of ZT designs, sizes, variety and light weight perhaps the most impressive part is the MAP pricing.

0900: $192.00
0450: $160.00
0630: $200.00
0808: $200.00
0452CF: $220.00

A 2.9 ounce knife from ZT! Who'd have thunk it? Whoever's decision that was, I'm all in.

That doesn't seem right. The 0900 has an MSRP of $240 and the 0450 has an MSRP of $200. How did they both end up with the same MAP ($192)?

I'll take the 0808, 0450, and the 0900 please. (I hope the 0450 flips better than the 3" Nura, which is very similar).
