New 2015 ZT lineup

Bladehq now has these on their site, so it appears they are all as pictured

Also those of you talking about the 102 tomahawk, bladehq has them in stock

One thing we can all laugh at: the casuals on Facebook who apparently all hate the 0900 and the new lineup :D :p

It's hilarious, if you guys haven't checked out the post on the ZT facebook page where they asked what everyone thinks of the new lineup, you definitely should. It's great how everyone thinks they can design a knife better than some of the absolute titans of the custom industry (Sinkevich is untouchable in my opinion).
Just checked it out.... absolutely hilarious!!!

I think this year was about filling out the lineup. Last years knives brought us a whole new set of hard use/tactical style knives while this year filled out the sleek and stylish small to mid-size side.

I don't think ZT thinks everyone should like every single knife they make but I doubt there's a person that can't find at least one ZT they like. Their lineup is just so diverse now in terms of styling and use.

ZT's facebook fans right now :D

On topic: I'm very excited that the 0630 apparently has a 0.121" thick blade. Should make an actual slicer out of it! Also, the 0452CF will probably inspire me to sell my 0454, it's exactly the kind of user grade 0454 I wanted. I still use my 0454 without regard, but I much prefer the machine satin/stonewash finish and the flat scales.

Agreed on stonewashed.... where are you finding .121 thick blade on the 0630? Thats fantastic news if thats the actual thickness.

It's in the 2015 catalog, but methinks it might have been a typo or something. I don't know what would inspire them to change it from the 0620, but it would certainly be cool if it's true! The spine of the blade does look thinner, but that might just be a rendering.

I hope its true! !!!!

The ZT 0900 looks like Spyderco Techno brother.
Hope the 0900 fit & finish comparable to the knives from Taichung.

The more i look at these knives the kershaw launch 1 looks the best bang for your buck to me

The new Zero Tolerance 2015 Catalog is available:

http://zt.kaiusaltd.com/pdfs/catalogs/Zero_Tolerance_2015.pdf

It's all about "boldness"!

"Boldness makes its own choices.

It has no truck with timidity.

Boldness is its own Magellan. It craves experience, lives life on its own terms, and seeks the company of like-minded adventurers. Boldness embraces the new. It refuses to fear what the world may say. Or think. Or dish out.

Boldness is resourceful. Boldness is practical. Boldness is strong. Boldness can be built like a tank. On the other hand, boldness can have the style of a gentleman. It would be something of an understatement to say that boldness has attitude. Boldness is decidedly alpha.

Boldness finds its ideal mate in authenticity. It values intense craftsmanship. It values advanced technology. Boldness knows that form matters, but that function matters more.

Boldness has zero tolerance for anything less than the very best."

omg... they came up with that instead of figuring out how to speed up production for my 0562cf that's been on pre-order for 6 friggin months

I feel rather uncomfortable reading that, lol

I can't hang onto anything with a closed length of less than 4.3". Kind of kills some nice "almost buys."

Yep. It's a good thing ZT settled on boldness rather than timeliness as the lynchpin of their marketing campaign. Call ZT what you will, but prompt they are not.

I can go down to 4" comfortably, but I'm willing to shrink that a little in order to get knives like Small Sebenzas and Mini-Grips into my rotation.

It's not about "more clean, less billboard", it's just the overall design I don't like.

They all lack character IMO, they just remind me of simple knives. Which is fine, some people like that.
But when looking back at all of ZT's offerings, there is a HUGE difference in the look they were aiming for this year.

I guess when I think of ZT, I think of a well built, tough design with a very small dash of "tacticool" on top. I always imagined a ZT being used hard, outdoors, on a construction site, etc... These remind me of something a cubicle worker would pull out of his khakis to open a Splenda packet for his cappuccino...:barf:

Dude. If someone in an office pulled out any of these blades I'd mother$&@ng 👍👊 the mofo!
😆

I'm with you there, something about handles less than 4.5" or so don't feel right to me, I don't feel like I quite have a proper grip. It's a shame because I really like the smaller offerings from ZT, I would love a bigger 0900 for example.

That 0900 is beautiful! Its too small for me to carry comfortably but I'm hoping that Wife likes it so maybe I can buy it for her and get to fondle it a little. LOL. I would be all over a 0900 with a 3.5 inch (or bigger, but 3.5 is a nice size) blade. I love the wide blade and the blade shape itself is gorgeous. I really hope we see more Les George collabs in the future.

I haven't purchased a production knife outside of the 0454 in a long time. This new lineup is def. going to change that. I use the 0454 a lot, and I keep it in my rotation, but I'm very happy they've come out with the 452cf.

Unfortunately, my take on these designs is a big yawn. Everybody has their opinions and taste, but this was kind of a bummer. They are boring as a whole. S35VN? Instead of buying two of these, I'll buy one CRK and get a much higher build quality and a knife that will outlast my children. I wish ZT didn't depart so much from their roots with their newer designs. To each their own, I suppose.

Boring as a whole? depends on whose opinion it is. Compared to their last unveil at blade show and their LE's, yeah it falls short, but those were Limited Edition after all. They haven't done anything outside the box, but they look like good, well built folders that are playing to what ZT's customers have requested.

As far as Sebenzas being "much higher build quality" - I'm not sure I'd agree with that statement anymore (I would have a couple years ago). I love CRK, and have owned many of them. They were my first foray into higher end knives, and I appreciate the quality they offer, but within the last 18 months, it seems to me that ZT has really upped their game, closing that quality gap significantly.

To me, some of their higher end models have really stepped into the mid tech range with the amount of fit/finish and hand finishing/inspecting that's required.

I'm sure the statement about outlasting your children wasn't a jab at ZT, as much as a praise for CRK - Lets just hope your children know how to sharpen considering their HT - Kidding aside, any quality knife that's taken care of will outlast any of us. I hope ZT and CRK are still making and innovating long after we're gone.

I love my old ZT300 and would still buy more 0200 's & 0350's over most of those only because of how beastly they are. No hate either; I'm a huge ZT/Kershaw fan.

I think a trip to the local bricks & mortar store will be in order once more of the new models are available to see what they feel like in hand; internet descriptions can be misleading...:thumbup::thumbup:
