NEW 4.7 Thread

well I received my dangler today (thank you Sagewood!) now just waiting for the 4.7 to put on it!

Is karma on vacation or something? Most of us are still waiting on our order and this butt hole is trying to charge over double the original cost for a 4.7? Come on universe, balance this stuff out!
 
I am willing to bet you all that is a F-2nd. The uneven peened finish on his blade' flag looks just like my F-2nd 4.7 on the PHT logo side.

Are you the world's first SURVIVOR! to have two 4.7's? What is the steel of your other one? Side by side pics?????

That thing is a 0.380 ACP aka 9mm short, therefore it's a mouse gun which you need not worry about specially with my level of "marksmanship".

We are suffering from our typical June Gloom here in Cali when the coastal marine layer dissipates later on in the day, so the lighting was not so good
when I took those pics indoor. I will do a side by side for you later on when the Sun finally comes through and burns off the marine layer.

I doubt it if I am the only one with the two different blade types. I am sure that someone else had both of them before me, AZ Welke being one of them ;)
 
Some side-by-sides. I swear that the 4.7-3V is a smidgen longer than the 4.7 in CruFirge V! I have the Chiral set up on the former and the stock on the latter (but ordering another UKE extension set for this one too) the ferro rod being my own though:

Oh well, maybe not longer... Just my clumsy S-B-S photography...

Other observations: more shiny mirror-like edge on the CFV versus the 3V. Was not as sharp as the 3V out of the box. Not as tightly in it's sheath as the 3V and has slight rattling.
 
Those look great CS! The jade just looks better and better to me. If you swamp the sheath, does the CFV still rattle?
 
HK: it must have something to do with the Cerakoting and the fact that S!K is trying to avoid the sheath scratching the blade. I swapped around yesterday and the sheath for the CFV is too loose for the 3V and in fact it rattled more. The other way around the CFV sheathed very tightly and I now have a slight drag mark on the logo side, but it is ever so slight which doesn't bother me.

Somehow I'm immune to the allure of the jade, but to me there are few things sexier than that FDE blade with black handles. Mmmm, that is tasty!
