NEW 4.7 Thread

There's a 4.7 up on EEEBAY which the seller claims to be a F-1st ordered a year ago. If this is true, those of you waiting to receive your orders placed in the past year, should have a very exciting July & August.
 
I don't recall! Are they? I think the price was different though but who knows?!
 
Since it has a ferro notch, I'll bet it is a factory first. I don't think that option was available on the seconds. Can anyone confirm?

Insanity!!!!! Who would give up a 4.7 at this stage in the game?????

Now about that extra cash I wish I had.....

I am pretty sure you're right about this. I don't remember seeing that option come up for the Monday sales seconds.
 
They did say at one time they wanted to start phasing that out since the new blades are not tumbled and do indeed have sharper spines.

I never ordered a second but I don't remember seeing anything posted saying the notch was not available.
 
Ferro notch was not an option for the 4.7 factory 2nds on May 30 sale when I ordered mine .

Ellie has said they are phasing out the ferro notch and bow drill divot. Notches are only available on models open for preorder. Going forward they won't be able option in the regular line. There's not an option for these on factory seconds or new orders going forward.

I fixed the girls car and then her boyfriend got upset because obviously it makes him look bad. Owned his face. Age difference might be slightly different here, girl with the car is 10 years younger than me. In the future he will be a better man I'm sure.

Second, I asked my neighbor "What's the deal with the weed factory?". He said since he had his year old daughter till his wife came home from work, he couldn't get it done till she was home and by then it was kinda late. So I mowed it myself.

I would help them out but they have no consideration for the other neighbors here.
That girl and her asshole brother come home at 1 or 2 at night and slam their car doors and front door even though they know their next door neighbor wakes up at 3am for work. I've gone out and yelled at them, but they're snotty little brats and they think it funny.

Like Silver says, I definitely remember Ellie saying these were being phased out. And I'm 99.9% sure they were not available on the 5.1 seconds I ordered. However, just now I clicked on the 4.5 that is still open for preordering, and I see the option for bow drill divot and ferro notch available.

Still, I've got to go with these options NOT available when the seconds have been offered on Monday sales. However, I'm not sure how to offer any proof of that.

Like Hard Knocks said, the models that are still in their first preorder like the 4.5 and 8 have the options, but I'd bet an S! hat that they won't be available after the last of the preorders close.

I think you're right, and that they'll discontinue those options after the initial preorders. It would be interesting to know if the 'extras' have every been offered on Survive Factory Seconds. I wasn't around for the original runs.
