I thoughts mods were supposed to discourage petty bickering. Then again, at least one of them is super biased when it comes to his personal relationships and opinions.

Jaxx said what needed to be said, and in a respectful manner, as he always does.

He can share his opinions here just as you, and the rest of us. He's not a SuperMod.
I've seen other forum room Mods come in here and be very disrespectful, but Jaxx is one you won't see doing that.
I've met him, and he's been a friend for about 10 years. You will not meet a more fair and honest person, and he's also one of the nicest people you'll meet.

Can I change my vote to INFI:p

Moderators of most subforums are usually only moderators in that single subforum and thus are just normal members when outside of there. A lot of people mistake a red user for a moderator in GD and elsewhere when in reality they're just normal people having discussions outside of their little area. Supermods are moderators everywhere, and they are usually blue italics rather than red (not always, though).

There is a list of the moderators at the bottom of each subforum that are in charge of said subforum, and then there's a master list of all moderators and supermods in the pull-down menu called "quick links" under the "view site leaders" option.

Someone over at Busse sub told me to get over here and vote...so I did...now how do I get my 2 dollar bill and my fifth of Who Hit John?

Is there a link here or do I have to PM Jaxx? ;)

Mods are knife enthusiasts just like everyone else on here and I don't think it's against the rules for mods to voice their opinion on their favorite knife, their favorite steel, or least favorite knife. I've seen many mods here on B/F voice their opinions on many different subjects. I think Jaxx was very professional and respectful the way he addressed the issue and he was 100% right in the answer he gave. I see many Busse fans posting in the different subforums, including myself.

Guys, I'm really offended that MY favorite steel, eBay Pakistani "damascus" isn't listed. NONSENSE.

I received an e-mail this morning from the Minister of the Treasury in Rwanda.

He said that if I came in and voted for INFI and provided my bank account numbers, he'd offer me a share in his country's budget surplus, like six figures.

I have done both, and now I see that my savings and checking balances are at zero.

I'll never vote for INFI again.

This happens all the time on the Busse forum.....

The slmax Game Warden is a small thin slicey blade. Practically he antithesis of a Busse, but one of my favorites too.

This is an Active Duty in Elmax. A janitors closet special. Nice and thin. Very slicey indeed. When people hate on busse I think they don't realize how many options there are. If you can't find a busse or kin to fit your need then you aren't looking.

I'll do you one better - Busse Hog Muk: FFG and <0.020" BTE with a gentle convex to the apex, among the best slicers I own

The only one I've held that was slicier was the ScrapMax - also FFG but thinner at the spine and only ~0.010" BTE:

Let's not forget about the anorexic basic 4 either. Or the 3.5" steak knife. That one's in .090" thickness of slicey elmax like the scrapmaxes.

Exactly.
