I actually keep hoping that Target will clearance out some Skeletools. They did it once with the Surge model.
BTW, Derek, tell us more about your ground pad needs.

Nice catch Guyon. I got my Gerber Crux multi on clearance at Target for like $12.

Taylor Canyon
Went for a good hike today, actually some of it gets pretty steep.

Sweet Flexxx. Could hardly recognize ya with your shirt on. :D

Just keeping the goods under wraps until the next KABAR banner shoot? Just jokin', great shots and looks like a fun hike.

We know that's not really you. No Becker scales sticking out.

In the Place that Shall NOT Be Named, I won a Kabar Potbelly. Freakin' cool.

I picked up one this weekend, that thing is a monster of a knife, I wanna see what it will do this weekend.

Tonight on chat we were comparing the BK7 and Esee 6, I told a few guys I would get some pics of the two side by side.

So here they are

nice pics flexxx

you also said you felt they fulfilled different roles as bushcraft/camping knives

would you care to elaborate?

Different grinds, length, you can choke up on the 6 if needed, the BK7 has a taller blade, 6 is a better slicer form experiance.

They both can do almost the same thing but I prefer the 6 as more of a camp survival knife then the BK7, don't get me wrong there both awesome knives....

Good comparison shots, Flexxx. I like those liners too.

I have the Skeletool CX, highly recommend them.

I have a Leatherman Surge, Wave and Supertool 200. I recommend them all. Do we have a really good general BK2 thread floating around? I just got one today and I'm having a sheath issue that I wanna see if it's been addressed already.

What's the sheath issue? Really tight? It will loosen up with time, if that's the problem. Also, some people remove the upper eyelet to make it looser.

Better get some pics of that outing JV3.......

no dice - we got rained out. i'm digging road bikes now, good opportunity to scope out stuff for urban survival and hotties without looking like i'm doing so. they think i'm looking down at the road instead of their cheeks.

Girls will stare back if you wear skin tight pants :D

just for shits and giggles, i want to ride around in a fixie wearing this helmet with a machete strapped to my camelbak. that'll teach the neighborhood kids craving for attention how it's done :D
