my latest impulse buy from yesterday - specialized sirrus racing bike from the late '80s...seriously old skool, couldn't pass it up when a friend casually mentioned he had it for sale.

going to ride tomorrow in central park and stare at gurlz all day :D no, i will not convert it to a fixie and wear skin tight pants and white shoes :barf:

Girls will stare back if you wear skin tight pants :D

Oh, come on! I've never seen a hipster with a machete strapped to his back!

MWTIC, you look good in gold!

Here's the second video from yesterday. Treehuggers and mosquitoes, those bastards are annoying.

I busted out 4.5 miles yesterday with some decent elevation changes in spots. Here are a few pics...

Looks like a good time Guyon. I spent a good chunk of the morning showing the boy how to make the L7 spring trap.

Excellent Guyon, my wife uses that same Camelbak and loves it....

I'm going on a super hike today, I will get some pics also

I'm friggin' wiped.
All day baseball tournament in 95 degree heat.

Amazing photos! Love the deer shot.

Me 'n the kids bumming around town this weekend. First weekend in a month I've haven't had dirt under my boots. Big group going camping next weekend though. Can't wait.

That's weird, I'd swear that's the Grunewald, 15km from the couch that I'm sitting on. It looks just like that picture. Amazing how this ecosystem exists all over the world!

Well, it ain't Blade Show 2011, but it'll have to do for me.
A local discount store clearanced out these combos for $25.
Nice selection of tools, a cool little light, and Leatherman quality.
By far, the sharpest knife blade I've gotten on a multi-tool.

nice, starting to do the research to finally get around to picking up a multitool.

Speaking of multitools, I just don't get why every company that makes them mounts the tools on the inside so you have to open the pliers to get your blade, screwdriver, etc out. This way of mounting the tools also makes the pliers grips very uncomfortable in your hands. The only company that puts the tools on the outside (read: where they belong) is - of course - Victorinox. A shame that my Swisstool was... lost under tragic circumstances... at an airport... I don't want to talk about it *sob*

Some of the Leatherman multi-tools do allow access to some of the tools without opening the pliers. Some are even one-hand openers.

wife loves her leatherman wave - main blade and saw both open without having to unfold the pliers IIRC.

Leatherman Skeletool CX allows me access to, well, at least half of the tools without opening it. Maybe like 3/5 of 'em. Course, it only has like 4 or 5, but as it turns out, that is plenty for me. :D

Moose can give me all the guff he wants, but until Becker comes out with some multitools that are as useful as this thing has been, he can pound sand, this thing is awesome.
