Well Flexxx, maybe the gods would give you more knives to play with if you would stop sticking them in your bum. Karma and all that.

Stripped it, cleaned out the eye, putting a vinegar/coffee patina on it. I got lucky and got a good handle. Sanded, burned it a little, stained with red mahogony, and some linseed oit. It looks pretty good so far.
Been grinding knives all day and will regrind it when I get to it. You've got a package inbound to you. Nothing major, but I expect to see a pic when you get it.....

Damn, you did a lot already. I too am going to grind the eye. Haven't made up my mind what I want to do with the rest yet. Thought about convexing it. For some reason, olive drab keeps coming to mind too. Go figure. Looking forward to getting whatever it is you're sending my way. Will post a pic.

Damn I hate to hear that about Ron Hood. I just saw him at Blade and he looked great. Thought he had turned the corner.
 
No kidding. I thought he was doing a lot better. That really sucks.
 
I was going to ask if anyone has got a Zombie knife yet? But I guess I'll wait till after the contest to see what you guys think about them.

I used to buy them by the pound, if that tells you. But, it was worth it. At 21ft, I can split an apple. Got a pretty good draw/throw too.

I was getting them for $3 a stick, and I was buying them 24 at a time. I have 2 left, and one of them is cracked. I went through a spell for a while of long distance and throwing on the move. Couple of misthrows, and they explode into toothpicks. My longest called shot, was 75ft, and I was at a full run when I released it.

Its about one of the most useless, but theraputic things one can do, in the outdoors. :D
