Some online place, that had them for sale, get better prices when you buy bulk. Can't get that anymore, but it was fun while it lasted.

the sheaths are great too - just like the potbelly sheath; but black.
 
Hey Warrior, get ridof that da-gone set screw. If you have a bad throw this will allow the handle to just come loose from the bit. It will reduce your chance of a broken handle. Got your sheath almost complete should go out this weekend!

The first real woodsy tool I bought. I was just getting into wilderness survival, not Bushcraft. There is this guy on the Hoods Woods forum, "Vector", I think he's banned here. Anyway he was making his own hawks and using these trailHawk heads as the foundation. He made a real convincing case for the hawk as an ultimate woods tool. I always carried a knife but never used it, I used the hawk for everything I was doing, shelter, fire and whatnot. Great tool. I did rehandle it into what Vec would call a "proper long hawk".

Gotta love those users, FAL'ER... I'm still thinking about getting one of those hawks. But $60 is quite a lot, I could almost get 2 Fiskars hatchets out of that.
 
It was $25 shipped on ebay in 2007. Germany though, Not sure man. It's only money man, you'll make more.

I found hawk handles for $2.59 each last night, iffin you buy at least 50, that is. Not sure if they'll fit the trail hawk though.

As long as they aren't too small, they can be made to fit. That's what I was doing. I'm sure ATK had some holdovers, because not all of mine fit right off, the way them too. I leave a 1/4" of the swell at the top. Gives it more velocity when thrown. :D
