Man I love that BHK Bushcrafter. Beautiful knife. Nice collection Cobra.

Thanks man. Should be getting out with it a little today and this weekend. Weather has not been co-operating.

Just picked this up too. (had some "Bonus Points" on my account) It's a $20 knife,
but it ain't bad. Full tang, big blade, sharp as h3ll too. Good little beater knife for free. Like a bigger Mora.

I like it. Price was right too. I like how the jimping goes half way down the blade.

Cobra, you got some good looking steel. I predict you'll like that BHK bushcrafter.

I agree with Tradewater, you will like it.

Moose

so many nessmuks, so little time :) lucked out and got one from Dale Chudinski, the guy who helped repopularize the meme

others by jay mulcahy, dan koster (the monster was too big, traded it out the small one is just right), bark river variants (traded out), culloden forge (NICE!), a scary one made with "evilcarta" handles :> even a rosarms close enough variant.

might have to look into the BHK version. like me my nessies.

You guys bite. I just spent serious dough on a ZT folder.
You can't be tempting me with all this BHK talk.

Bladite, this one is really well done. Next time I see you (Blade of 2012?), I'll try to bring it along so you can handle.

Oh my. That's nice Biscuit. And where was all this drooling material at the gathering???? Hmm?

interesting on Busse's part :) going all traditional on us it seems with khukris and nessmuks. best watch that hole though, getting into Spyderco territory :)

here's a MUK you can afford: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCQxzQLQJTg

muk muk muk - wiseguy!

Moose told me we were going to have to hike in to the campsite, so I came very low drag.
Only thing I brought was a giant Battle Mistress for Derek to see, and I left it in the truck.
This fall, I'll try to bring more things that people can check out.

Bladite, any chance of getting a photo someday of your entire nessmuk family?

Bladite, any chance of getting a photo someday of your entire nessmuk family?

they're posted around somewhere, here's a refresher:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/460832-some-knife-photos-nessmuks

and

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/811486-Post-your-nessmucks! has a LOT of shiny stuff...
and my post from there:

did someone say nessmuks?

t2b: is a dale chudinski (classic) model, the other is a custom from Culloden forge:

t2b: Koster prototype, Culloden, JM special, BRKT:

and also i got a stainless Canadian knife pattern from Grohman - kinda want their survival model at some point...

What's the advantage of the nessmuks blade shape? Also, I finally got my trail hawk mod done, waiting for a few touch ups to dry before taking photos.

Wow. Someone mentions nessmuks, and the crowd goes wild :D

Did some heavy work with the BK-2 today. Love it.

it's also a spoon :) you can flip pancakes. it's historical. also: neat. they're VERY thin for cutting. they're not choppers. good skinners. when nessmuk wanted to chop, he used his two-bit hatchet, or a real axe.

I picked up a 100oz Camelbak today for 8.90 - given the street price for these things here, that's an absolute steal! Also some 100% wool fabric, gonna make a bandana/shemagh/general purpose utility piece of fabric out of it. The leftovers go into micarta scales that I plan to make.

Bladite, this is the Nessmuk mother load. I've been reading a lot about the pattern these last few weeks as I was trying to design four different patterns for myself. I'm early in my wannabe career, but I have been trying to design a Nessmuk pattern to make.

Here is the design as of now. I'd love to get your feedback on the Nessmuk. Hell, I'd like to hear your feedback on all of them. :D

I actually made one of those "utilities" out of some left over 1084 I had. It's in for heat treating now.

Here are the other two designs I've been playing around with.

Didn't he have a 3 piece kit? Like the knife, hatchet, and one other thing it seemed I read once.

if i am not mistaken it was a folding knife, a small fixed blade and a double headed hatchet
wish i could remember the folding pattern (i think it was a muskrat or a moose, two blades, one on each end)
