Gotta love Becker love! Gave a buddy of mine my Remora and now I'm missing the little guy. Need to pick up another.
 
Well, 6am I'm off to Beijing for a conference plus some touristy stuff.

This will include a day hiking the Great Wall, although I'm struggling with this a bit because the 'wild' sections (that haven't had any reconstruction done) are actually illegal to climb... although everyone does it, the Chinese offer lots of guides and services to go there, and the Government can't do anything to you if one of their deputy rangers comes up to you. So do I live the dream and spend 6-8 hours hiking along something amazing and authentic like this? Or do I follow my values, which are strongly in favor of cultural preservation, and stick to the section crawling with tourists and that's been rebuilt to better condition than when it was original?

Anyway, I debated packing my Bk2 and/or phat bob but figured I'd rather avoid possible complications. I'm sure I can pick up a user once I'm there... I'm guessing every brand of Cold Steel will be available. :D
 
Did you just file and sharpen the edge, or did you remove paint too, etc? I love the size. Perfect for my sling bag.
 
Five days without a dip. BTW, nicotine patches taste terrible.

There isn't any paint on it, just some clear coat that comes off when you work on it. Like I said, it needs some metal removed to give it some real bite. Here's a good article. http://oldjimbo.com/survival/vaughangrind.html

Harbor freight el cheapo angle grinders are the bomb. I've got five of them with different wheels and grits. Saves time..lol.

I hear that. Congrats Derek. I smoked for 18 years and quit cold turkey. One of the best things I've ever done for myself.

If it makes you feel any better I sill want a dip. Yeah I know it doesn't but thanks for bringing it up because now I want a dip; just a small one. It won't hurt anything right. I can do it just once.

It's been like a couple months for me. I guess it gets easier as time goes by. It just doesn't feel like it. lol

Just picked this up. Little bigger than the $15 version.

Used it at the barn over the weekend. Great little knife.

Blade isn't quite twice as tall. It's also thicker/heavier. Sturdy little blade for $30.
Weighs almost nothing too. If they could only do something about these funky colors ... (LOL)

Damn waiting or UPS is driving me insane, I've seen him drive pass my house twice now.....

He told me once there is a time limit on certain deliverys then locall houses are last :mad:
