Dubz, the 3M wheels will put on a pretty quick shine.
I used a wire brush to take off the majority of rust on my double bit and then hit it with the sanding wheel.
I was hoping to find some stamping under the rust that would identify the axe maker.
Alas, all I found was a 2 1/2 pound stamp, and not even a very good one at that.
Makes me wonder if this is some Pacific Rim or Chinese steel.
Before I put any more time in it, I think I'll just sharpen it up, use it, and see how well the steel holds up.

Cleaned up good brother. I like it. I couldn't even find a weight on mine. I find some markings. Looks like there's a few 0's, then a 0 with an x through it, followed by an 11. and a few more zero's. It has US-ENG on it, of course as well as the Kelly brand mark. Then it has the true temper mark on the other side.
