Anybody know what knife and gun show there was just within the past couple of weeks in orlando? My buddy won a knife, but doesnt know the name of it. He said he doesnt need it and was gonna give it to me. He also said some guy offered him 600 for it and there were only 130 made. He says it has a number on it. I'm waiting on a picture, but til then, just wondering if anyone knew what knife show it was and who was there to be doing big giveaways like that...

I just got one of those clips. I'm gonna try something for my 14/11, and I was trying to figure out how to attach it to the sheath. Thanks for posting the pic when you did :D

I gotchoo nick. Ever since I saw andys sheath for the fiddleback palmer I have been on the hunt for a pocket sheath like that. It looks great, so i finally found this one. _If you go to his website you will see the pics. I've always wanted a palmer but he doesn't make em anymore. Plus I probably can't afford one

Yeah that one looks real nice. It's not my style though.

I've made a few pocket sheaths before. It's just not for me. There is one that I might make another for me; maybe. I just wanted to mess around with the clip is all is why I got one.
 
Holy moly, I am now the proud owner of a golden BK-2. I tried to get a nice patina going with white wine vinegar (the cheap .70€ for a quart stuff) and it turned out like a brass-ish color. Is there any way to get rid of this, except taking it all off and patinaing again? I have some really nice splashes on it that I made earlier with mustard, I'd hate to lose those. What do you guys use to just put an even dark finish on your Beckers? I hope there is something that I can just wipe on the blade and it will turn it into a darker greyish color.

I'd love to be able to reproduce that growlingbear look, his looks almost like a Gränsfors axe head, he wrote he used some brass/aluminum blackener solution and it turned out beautifully. Anyone got any experience with that?
 
No idea about the other stuff but I took off the yellowish color from a mustard vinegar patina with steel wool
 
And an even dark finish is achieved with gun blue. Awesome finishes from that stuff

Bluing will do that somewhat. I just sanded it down for the two tone finish. Here is a pic of my stripped 11 submerged in blue. Yeh I said stripped but it don't look like it

It takes some time to get it dark. Follow the instructions. You apply the blue, wait a minute, wash it, buff with steel wool and then repeat as needed for darker finish. To get the dark finish on my 2, I repeated 3 or 4 times. And also wash with soap and water after 2nf application or it acts like oil and repels the new blue. Then when you think your done, let it sit exposed overnight and it will darken more.

like games? cheap? google "humble bundle". get it. $5-$nnn, your choice, 11 games, 3-4 of which are pretty hot.

while i have a ps3 i admit i don't know black-ops.

still working my way through alice. not a lot of time lately for games that aren't portable.
 
Clichtoris, I play on 360 sometimes, but this being summer, outdoors time is the right time. After I go on vaca though, got Deus Ex coming out, then some other goodies in November that look mighty fine, like Skyrim and then the Halo anniversary edition. Going to be a busy next couple of months!
 
I used to be a huge gamer, wrote for web and print, did some minor development, etc etc. A few years ago I got out of it, but I will play the hell out of the new Deus Ex and Skyrim. Then it's back to no gaming again.
