Cool work on those BK2s guys. Ever since I got one I have wanted to do some mods to it but I gave it to a buddy in need of a knife. I think I will get another and try a couple of things, thin the blade out a bit, maybe make it a full flat that tapers from handle to tip and do my antique finish, and take off some of the beak on the butt. Where there any made with a solid tang so I could grind on the handle too?

It's NOT my BK-2, a guy on BushcraftUSA named growlingbear did it. I just want my BK-2 blade to look like it.

Sounds like a great plan, make sure you post pics here. The 1st generation of the KaBar Campanions was made with a non-skeletonized tang. The Camillus version too, but those might be significantly harder to hunt down. There's plenty of meat on the tang of the 2nd gen BK-2 how much do you want to grind off?

I post mainly during the hours or 9 and 5 Monday thru friday. How else would I get through work?

Hey guys, Please say a prayer for the families of the 31 soldiers killed in Afghanistan on Friday. Rough days for us, worse for their families. Went to the Spirit of Steel show and SMKW yesterday. Picked up a BHK baby bushcrafter, a little Wetterlings hatchet, some Ballistol (that stuff is hard to find) and some other goodies. Mrs. Trade and I really had a great time. Good to see Ethan, Moose, Guyon, and even got to hook up with Wayne. In a motel in Crossville TN, so will post a pic or two of the new haul when I get home.

Thought about you when I read the headlines in the local paper. You and all our guys over there are in our prayers.
