@Sal Glesser , thanks. I know you can't keep all blades in stock. But even on common blades, such as S30V PM2, S110V PM2, VG10 Delica, VG-10 Endura, and S30V Manix 2 blades, Spyderco still doesn't offer to sell the customer a new blade, right? I know you can't keep all blades in all blade steel offerings in stock, but for knives that are your bread and butter, like the ones I mentioned above as examples, wouldn't it be nice to offer the option of a new blade vs a the cost of a new knife to your customers? Again, I point to your competitor who do, indeed, offer this service. I've had several Spydercos over the decades that I've damaged the blades and would've loved to have had a new blade put in, but you didn't (& still don't) give me that option. I had to buy a brand new knife. In some instances, I've replaced them with other Spydercos. In others, I've gone with a knife from one of your competitors.
If I shorted a battery with my knife, I also wouldn't insinuate that sal was responsible for my newly acquired "$100 paperweight".If I kept breaking blades I'd revaluate how I was using my knives.
Or we can regrind it for you?

Curious of how many blades have you broken to where you'd need a replacement and how it happened?
So I basically have a $100-odd knife that is now just a paperweight?
Had I not been helping someone in need, you might have a point or something like one. As It stands...you don't.Not at all, what you do have is a reminder of what not to do with your knife. Sometimes, the lessons we learn dig into the pocket book and there's no fun in that.

All good man, I felt the thread needed some levity.Continuous Quality Improvement. It's not a term Sal coined by any means.
You are lucky you didnt hurt yourself. Hopefully you didnt trash the electrical system on the car when you helped out.Had I not been helping someone in need, you might have a point or something like one. As It stands...you don't.

Nobody said it was about Spyderco, genius. I asked if they would replace a blade and expressed disappointment that they wouldn't like every other manufacturer out there. You are lucky you didnt hurt yourself. Hopefully you didnt trash the electrical system on the car when you helped out.
The knife should go in a prominent place as a warning to respect electicity.
Not even going to address the whining about a 100$ knife you stupidly mis-used.
This is not about spyderco...

Pride is a hard thing to swallow.
Anyway we could see the bent knife in question? I'm curious as to exactly know what was done to the knife to bend it so. No judgement - I understand that the knife was used for a non-knife task, but was the only tool available. And that you did a good thing for your fellow man. I'm just curious.
The irony of your avatar is not lost. You are lucky you didnt hurt yourself. Hopefully you didnt trash the electrical system on the car when you helped out.

I just realized I left out the fact that it's fully serrated in my OP.
