New Buck 110 LT

A sheath means the 110LT won't have a clip...can it be added at the lanyard hole? If so, where would I find one?

Has anyone noticed that in the last 3 years the asking price for the 110 and 112 Ecolite has been steadily going up? And more importantly just how few 110's are offered at any price? To me that means folks like them and there is a market for that type and style of knife . I bet some serious folks at Buck look hard at the secondary market and past models with a view to new ones and what end users like. It would not surprise me if this 'new' lite 110 started development and long range planning after the Ecolite was deliberately phased out. I still wonder why.. I was hoping for a much longer and varied series of the 112 Ecolite. ..particularly in Advertising and promotional special projects. It was perfect!

I don't understand. There seems to be more variations of the 110 than ever before. It's their bread and butter.

I had to read it twice. I think he just worded it awkwardly and meant they don't show up on the secondary market.

I've never noticed a shortage of 110's on the secondary market. The price point has always amazed me at ~$30!!! Even more amazing, I can usually find some pretty nice 40+ year old 110's for $30 on the secondary market...and those old 2-dot 110's are a beautifully massive chunk of pocket knife!

I noticed the 110’s sell like hot cakes at my local W*l M**t, because everytime I go there they only have 2 or 3 left on the shelf and sometimes only one will be on the shelf

IMO it’s still one of the best knives you could get at it’s price point and the clip point on it looks real good, the new LT version is getting me pumped up to get my hands on one.

This is true about the Ecolites (with Paperstone handles). I'm a big fan of these so I keep an eye out and they seem to sell in the $50-60 range now. Can be found cheaper, but you have to get lucky. Sort of a "cult classic" phenomenon. Lightweight yet warmer and much classier than plastic -- and recycled to boot! I wish Buck would bring back this material.

Sorry I wasn't clear. .I was referring to the 110 Ecolite not 110's in general. I look at EBay often in my search for oddball 112's and for the few 110's my brother might consider. I hardly ever see listings for a Ecolite 110 and the 112 Ecolite listings are rare too. The point I was trying to make is there is a market for lighter 110's and that Buck looks at the secondary market. .

I'm chuffed. I placed my preorder and now I'm waiting for a 112 to be offered. And get me a 500 lightweight and I'll never ask for anything ever again--I promise. Well, maybe a bare head 500 or aluminum or...
