In my opinion it feels better in hand than it looks in the pictures. I always thought it looked nice. The elk handles give it a nice shape, feel and heft. I want to just drop it into my pocket and start using it.

i didnt realize that elk was a limited edition...seem gone now from a quick search. very nice y'all. should have ordered...oh well......

The big store in Tennessee is still showing them. A google search found one or two other sites that listed them in stock. But the places that still have them want quite a bit more than those that are sold out did.

I am a gun enthusiast first and foremost, and while my knowledge of knives is in it's infancy, I do know my guns, and I would almost guarantee you this is the case. There are VERY good reasons none of us buy Marlins anymore since big green bought them out.

I got the new SMKW catalog the other day and they had the bullet knife on the cover. At least they let Buck use 420HC for it, the other new Rem. knives were all 420J2.
 
I missed out on the elks, but I got a wood one today from KnifeCenter. It's not a bad deal this weekend, because there is free shipping on all orders.

yep.....the wood is limited edition as well. just as nice. i have both and glad i grabbed them. enjoy yours Sir.
 
Anyone know if other models will be coming out from Buck/Remington? Want one but this model didn't interest me much.
 
didnt Mr. Hubbard hint at maybe more in the plans or works but didnt want to give out inside info? back during the vr era of negative on these buck made remingtons........maybe im remembering wrongly?
 
No, you're correct as far as the time frame, I just didn't want to air the dirty laundry...

He was real elusive about the new add-on to the factory...Hmmmm?
