Got the D2 118, Orange 426, and Paperstone Vantage today. What a great little package. All were razor sharp out of the box, but I have to say that 118 might be my new hunting fixed blade. Perfect size for field dressing deer and hogs, great blade shape, very nice wood laminate handle, and the D2 is like a scalpel. Here's the pics of the 426. Note there are no markings on the back side of the blade:

WooHoo! Finally got my shipping notification (1:13am this morning). Won't get here until next Friday but at least they are headed my way.

Same here!! I get mine next Thursday.

I was told they would most likely ship the first of the week when I talked to the rep yesterday, but they shipped out less than three hours later.

Man,I am so happy right now,I am actually getting a 118 d2 thanks to a great member here,postfallsidaho(Jim)has offered to send me one ,and man am i excited.I think it will be tested on a moose hunt this fall(if successfull)there will be lots of pictures.Thanks again Jim,i apprechiate it very much!
 
I've found the service from Buck's customer reps to be absolutely first-rate, whether via phone or email.

Some of the delays mentioned here were likely because the sale was so successful -- they were swamped!
 
If you've looked at the Web Specials page......it looks a bit like a tornado hit it or it was raided by the Vikings or the Huns.

Decimated.

Hope priority one is cooking up some more great build-outs ASAP!

If I can gut big whitetails with a 2 3/4 inch Buck 444......I guess the 118 should be fine for moose.

Anyhow, in the pictures I see (not a moose hunter) they always seem to have a swarm of people with knives and various tools working on a moose.

Don't see that too much with whitetails.

I've skinned and dreessed/quarted moose before and its a job for sure,especially when i had only a buck 110 and a swiss army knife,lol..Lesson learned,i'll have a few bucks with me this time,thanks again Jim,fall can't come soon enough.
 
My black 426 bucklite shipped this morning I'm pretty excited to see how this one turns out.
