Hey everyone, long-time lurker but wanted to get in on the fun! Plus I got a bit tired of waiting for them to drop a new catalog or update their website with new products for this year.

With Shot Show now on, CS has announced some new blades coming soon.

The Mayhem, last seen a year ago, is said to be coming "in the 3rd quarter" of this year in both AUS10 and S35VN with the ATLAS lock.

The Swift with an assisted opening is back (though they keep saying it's their first time) in a new design than its 2015 counterpart. Comes in D2 steel, G10 handle, a safety for the assisted opening, and ATLAS lock. Said to be coming in the next few months.

The only other one they're showing it seems is a new one called the Viking Seax. A folder with D2 steel, G10 handle, and ATLAS lock. Also said to be coming within the next few months.

This is on top of the 'Jimslash' chopper that was announced a few months ago.

Ugh D2 might mean made in China,Not the factory in Tawain that they have been using all these years, it might be a cheaper quality, too. And only 3 new items?

From the two videos on YouTube so far of CS at Shot Show, they’re only showing those blades. Hopefully they release a catalog or update their website to show what’s coming for 2023

Yes that what I was thinking. Nothing against cold steel or d2,but I'm starting to get weary of Chinese d2 the market is flooded with it. Not bashing China either some great knives made there. Cold steel has/had their own identity and I hope the products aren't being homogenized. I use the s35 and aus 10 folders every day. Some of the new stuff...

If CS had brought the Mayhem to market on time, I would have certainly bought one in a hot minute.

I think I'm too smart for that this year, tho. My interest in post LT CS is about zero at this point, which is a shame, since the teenage me would have loved seeing the new TV commercials.

one thing about the atlas lock, too when you close the knife with any kind of force, it closes and bounces back open alot of times, cause the atlas spring also act as the detent tension and its not strong enough to keep it closed the 1st time.So its not all its cracked up to be.

If you look at the shot show video the guy from SMKW closes the knife and it bounces back open it makes the Atlas lock very annoying. And Cold Steel doesnt even have a friggin booth just a pegboard wall of clam packs in the middle of nowhere; they might as well be in the parking lot showing this stuff out of the back of a pickup truck....
