New Cold Steel knives for 2023

I like the looks of the Mayhem, though probably not enough to buy one. It looks, to me, like it should be in the 175 range for S35VN and G10. From posts above it sounds like GSM will be demanding twice that.

I was not excited by anything else. The counter point was cool, but the bladevshoukd be dlc. The clip point TiLite wasn't my thing. The Kobune was confusing, as they are pitching it as a hunting knife. I noticed they had a leather sheath for the competition chopper.

Cold steel has added some new products to its online store.

3.5 inch Engage in XHP steel and carbon fiber handle.

Expandable steel baton (added to Bladde HQ before 2023 but only appearing now) in:

12 inch

and

26 inch

some products are listed (I'm British so no idea how reputable they are etc)

Hopefully, they'll update the main site to include the actual full catalog or list of new products, rather than the snail's pace they're currently going at. It'll be 2024 by the time it comes out probably...

They're probably using the same contractor Schrade / S and W / Taylor used for their batons - https://www.bladehq.com/item--Schrade-21-Tactical--5047 .

Also that new spearhead is just a slightly modded S and W one with a new name slapped on it -

https://store.smith-wesson.com/tact...lass-filled-nylon-handle-fixed-blade/SW8.html .

Elk Ridge (Master Cutlery) also made a a version too -

https://www.smkw.com/elk-ridge-spire-spear .

*Cold Steel, If you're going to copy S & W / Schrade, bring back the Drop forged survival knife line.

SOG also makes that style of spear/dagger, the Spirit, so they probably just moved it over from SOG to CS since they are owned by the same company.

I just noticed SOG used a pun in the name for this knife: Spirit = Spear it. 😀

I will. What's wrong with GSM? Yes, they're making some cheap stuff, but the higher end knives are just as good as before. How many Atlas lock failures have there been? How many GSM knives have failed since the takeover? I've been noticing improved fit and finish in the new 3V Natchez Bowie, San Mai BBC, 3V Recon Scout and Trail Master. Everything is still made in the same factories. If anyone can find any proof that GSM "made" knives are inferior to the original Cold Steel, please let me know.
They still use the same factory in Taiwan. Which btw produce better knives than any USA made trash. When it comes to folders Taiwan is ahead of everyone
