With all these names I’m a little confused, what are the third and fifth one down? Thanks
Thats correct! And Im trying out different handle styles. Im going with the longer thinner handle.I think that's The Boner.....
Just with, and without the finger choil....?
It’s ALWAYS a man’s choice to have his Boner fingered. Don’t let anyone try to tell you different. Both versions of the Mega Boner turned out great too… Do we have to choose?![]()
It seems that from what interests you, there will be a SUPER 8 model.Hunter, I may have missed it but is there a timeline for any of these models? Also would you ever consider a scaled down tyrant Bowie? A belt Bowie somewhere in the 11 inch-ish range?

Oh yes, that's right up my alley! Looking forward to this one!It seems that from what interests you, there will be a SUPER 8 model.
It's something like this.
Bush Waki and Tyrant katana are next blades.
I don't know about the dates, but to be honest, I'm extremely interested in the Super 8 myself.

Well, after my experience with the Tyrant and Fell Beast, I can say that I'd be extremely interested in having a Super 8.Oh yes, that's right up my alley! Looking forward to this one!
Ive got a prototype run for the Mega Boner water jet cut and in the shop. I just have to figure kit what Im going to do for HT. These things warp unbelievably bad. I might have to HT them myself with a plate quench and clamp temper to get them straight.Hunter, I may have missed it but is there a timeline for any of these models? Well, in any case, you can be 100% sure that I — and the guys from the forum — are definitely with you!Im thinking about doing "pre-order mania" as soon as modeling is completed.
I'm growing very, very concerned about tariffs and inflation and the impact they could have on my ability to make big blades. Its keeping me up at night. Ill always be able to make small knives, but if the price of steel were to go up, at a certain point it would completely kill my ability to make things like swords or Kukris where you are getting only about 10 blades out of an entire sheet and need custom rolled sheets.
Now through 2026 I want to make the following models while steel is still available and affordable.
1. Bush Waki
2. Tyrant Waki
3. Tyrant Katana
4. Tyrant Kukri
5. Liberator Bolo 2.0
6. Super 8
7. Fjord hiker.
I think Im going to launch pre-orders for these all at once and just get the ball rolling on them and have them locked in at good prices. I also want to go mostly full time into knife making and need to fill out my books/ know there is enough demand if Im going to take the plunge.
I'd need a 50% deposit for the Waki's, Kukri, and Katana (to cover custom ordered steel and complex tooling) but only a $50-$100 deposit for the Super 8, Fjord Hiker, and Liberator Bolo 2.0 ( to cover tooling setup, these models can all use off the shelf sized sheets and I dont need a $20K steel order to get then in the size I need).
A green micarta coffin handle , a brass cross guard, and a 7 inch fullered Bowie would probably drain my bank accountIve got a prototype run for the Mega Boner water jet cut and in the shop. I just have to figure kit what Im going to do for HT. These things warp unbelievably bad. I might have to HT them myself with a plate quench and clamp temper to get them straight.
Im holding off on the Fell Chef for the moment and doing a prototype run of the Professional Chef instead. However the modeling for the Fell Chef is completed and it would be an easy blade to produce if there is enough demand.
And oh yes, I have the "Son of Tyrant Bowie" drawn but Im getting carried away and keep wanting to make it a coffin handle bowie with a guard....
That Super 8 does look pretty awesome! Also really interested in the Bush Waki and that Liberator Bolo 2.0 looks like it will do some serious work
