New GEC #48 with Wharncliffe blade?

I'd guess still a month or two out. I contacted one of the dealers and he said GEC is still working on the details. I hope they put it on the production schedule for September.
 
That is all I needed to hear this morning ~~ as that is all I need is another Wharncliffe Blade = I am GEC poor as it is and now I will have to start eating cheap Sardines to afford my Knife habit until I can recoup what I have already spent just this month ~~ dang Knives.!!***** { Just bet those #48's sure will be nice though.! } YIPES.**
 
Does anyone have anymore info on these yet? Looking at the blades they have made for these got me thinking. I bet they are making some western trappers with the clip and spey blades and a wharnie / pen blade jack with the others.
 
One can dream!! I heard there will be some #48 Jacks with a saber grind Clip and a pen!!:rolleyes:

So I have been chatting with GEC about what is coming up with that #48, and next thing you know. . . . . . . .

Those Diamond Shields are just right!

Well, a Rat-Tail bolster with Barehead would be impossible to ignore, just sayin'

Is there a picture from GEC you're talking about, or just diamond shields in general? If there is a picture I couldn't find it.

Originally, the Diamond Shield was a Shapleigh "Diamond-Edge" shield, as seen above in post #25, top knife.
But GEC and I have now agreed to make a Diamond shield with un-X-ld on it!

Besides, I found you can type diamonds on the keyboard - sort of!!

All this talk about diamond shields has me dying to know what the blade configs are going to be.

Oooh looks to be a muskrat clip / wharnie combo and on smooth ivory bone too?! This may be my dream knife. My "grail" as ppl around here call them. Can't wait! How long do you all think we have to wait? 1 month? 2 months?
 
GEC is killing my wallet....I wonder if I can just get my paycheck direct deposited with them?
 
I think they still have more #72s to make. If the old schedule holds then they still have #42s and #46s before the #48s but I don't believe that's set in stone.
